ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
THANK YOU…
To our parents, who offered us their unconditional love and support. To our teachers, who shared with us their knowledge and skills. To the children of the Pilot Elementary School, who made the Outreach Program memorable. To our school, who supported and implemented this program. And above all, to our Almighty God who has given as everything in life. PLEDGE OF LOYALTY
We, the BASS Economics 1st year student, do hereby Solemnly pledge to be ever faithful to God, to our country and to our school. We promise to develop ourselves to be mature and genuine citizens of the country everyday in our lives. We will aspire to actualize the gift of life so that we could be of greater service to our fellowmen. In all our thoughts, decisions and actions, we will seek the glory of the Lord. So help me God.

INTRODUCTION A child is a child. They want toys, gifts, surprises, foods and everything that give them satisfaction but, they need love from all people around them , love from God, and love from their family. They need happiness that give way to their success and care from those people that they love. The reason why we are doing this is to give their happiness. Happiness moments that could be so memorable and unforgetable to them. In just a simple things we've done we want to see them smile nor to laugh. We want them to realize that eventhough they are a little child they can give happiness to everyone. Our personal intent here is to help them to build their courage and hope in order to face the future, the reality of life, that not all the time there is happiness, sometimes problems and stragles may occur in their lives to give strength to acheive their goals. REFLECTION People can search for their happiness but me, I didn't search it I'm just enjoying what i've done thats why it gives happiness to me. The outreach program taught us a lot of good things: contentment with what we

At a young age of 10, when my parents took me to the hospital for my check up, I remember my dad used to lecture on how I should help people by saying “I want you to make a habit of helping peoples” and he wanted me to pursue my career in the health sector. Everyone has got it's own definition for the word “happiness”, for me personally helping people towards a better health and being there for them in every step gives me a mental satisfaction.…

According to studies, strategies for reducing the risks of cardiovascular disease and type 2-diabetes are not widely implemented despite well-publicized guidelines (Hawk, 2010). New studies provide evidence that community-nursing leadership is effective in helping patients manage these and other chronic conditions. Results of the community outreach programs demonstrate that interventions by nurse-led teams using individual treatment with blood pressure (BP) screenings improved not only the risk factor status of individual treatments regimens but patients’ perception of quality care they receive (Hawk, 2010). One important factor is to issue guidelines and advisories designed to increase awareness, prevention, treatment, and control hypertension through community screenings (Hawk, 2010). The World Health Organization reports that suboptimal BP (>115mmHg SBP) is responsible for 62% of cerebrovascular disease and 49% of ischemic heart disease, with little variation by sex. In addition, suboptimal blood pressure is the number one attributable risk for death throughout the world (Hawks, 2010). The American Heart Association (2012) explains your healthcare providers will want to get an accurate picture of your blood pressure and chart what happens over time. Starting at age 20, the American Heart Association recommends a blood pressure screening at your regular healthcare visit or once every two years, if your blood pressure is less than 120/80 mm Hg. While BP can change minute to minute with changes in posture, exercise, stress, or sleep, it should normally be less than 120/80 mm Hg. About one in three (33.5%) U. S. adults have high blood pressure (American Heart Association, 2012). When monitoring blood pressure in the community you want to educate that typically more attention is given to the top number ( the systolic blood pressure) as a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease for people over 50 years-of-age. In most…

.. was a great way to introduce the various groups that are available to students on campus. The Center for Community Outreach (CCO) includes programs to get students involved in the community through volunteering and educating others about today’s issues. The Student Activities Board (SAB) provides students with events like concerts, cheap movie nights, and homecoming events, which I cannot wait for. Greek life is very large on campus and seems like a lot of work. Intramurals and club sport allows student to stay in athletics even if they’re not Division 1 material. If a student feels overwhelmed by the variety of organizations, the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) helps find an organization that fits them the best. Athletics are a huge…

Teaching and educational psychology are key elements in having a a successful classroom. Taking the Ormrod’s Psychology Survey really shows how there are many common misbeliefs to how children learn. Ormrod’s text stresses the importance of understanding research. “Quantitative research yields information that is inherently numerical in nature or can be easily reduced to numbers” (Ormrod, J. 2011. p 4). Qualitative research “research that yields information that cannot be easily reduced to numbers; typically involves an in-depth examination of a complex phenomenon.” (Ormrod, J. 2011. p 4). When an educator understands different ways that information is gathered and explored then they are able to further explore their study of their students behavior. The most important thing as a student of education is that there is the ability to merge the information from quantitive research and qualitative research. Theories in education are exciting possibilities that can be examined and explored. There are millions of different possibilities as far as theories that are related to our students: motivation, behavior, development and learning. To successfully teach, understanding why and how our students preform is key. In the classroom we must continually assess our on students work and then develop methods to help students improve.…

    Children and Happiness

What makes children happy? ‘That’s easy,' you might say, ‘a new toy, an ice cream or a trip to the amusement park.’ While these things bring an immediate smile to many children’s faces, they are probably not the things that will keep them happy day by day, or turn them into happy adults. The basic ingredients that make children happy during childhood seem to be the same ones that help them to become happy adults: a secure relationship with parents gives the base to confidently explore the world and develop a sense of mastery and recognition, all important components in the recipe for happiness. However, in the short term, the new toy might provide a smile too! Man has to pass through many stages of life, since he is born until he dies. He passes through infancy, childhood, boyhood, youth, middle age and old age. Childhood continues from the 6th to the 12th year of age. Boyhood continues from the 12th to the 19th year of age. Youth lasts from the 20th to 35th year of age. Middle age lasts from the 36th to the 55th year of age. Old age continues from 56th year until death. Of all the stages of life childhood is the most important. Because it is the formative period of life. It is also the first conscious stage of life.…

The Panuluyan was a real eye-opener for me. It made me become aware of the things, which I have normally taken for granted. It made me see that it was easier to please those who have less, because they expect less.…
