Orthopeadic Role Model
Throughout the discussion the orthopeadic specialty group discussed about their various experience in different facilities .It was very interesting to know about how learning and developing in a specialty occurring in our hospital .The strategies and techniques to develop new skilled staff forces is varies in each hospitals. I love of being an Orthopeadic nurse because the operating room is one of the highest occurrence of adverse events mainly due to the complexity of procedures performed in the multidisciplinary teams and working under great pressures (Manrique, et. 2015).The orthopeadic staffs are very nice and supportive and the challenge in scrubbing with different orthopeadic specialty surgeons by using wide variety of instruments and systems involve. In short, for me working as a team, knowing that, people support you and teach you and having confidence in yourself would definitely help to contribute and perform my role for patient care and

In our facility, our orthopeadic ANUM is good role model for me in my specialty since I started. As she is the heart of orthopeadic who is an excellent team leader who encourages teamwork. As stated by Makary (2011) that teamwork in operating theatre is an important factor of a culture of good communication optimize efficiency and patient safety. We have a Special orthopeadic group called ORSUM who organize frequent in services, at least one in every two months about, either new equipment’s or refreshing existing in-house equipment’s for all group members and the staffs who are interested to learn orthopeadic. “on-the-job” training allows new nurses to develop solid learning opportunities and advance in the specialty all the while being able to relate the theory in education packages to what they are seeing in practice (Meyer, et al., 2016, p.
