People say first impressions are lasting impressions. Some people notice a person's eyes when they meet someone new, others notice their smile. Many Americans are hesitant to smile or show their teeth, this is where orthodontics can make a difference. There are many ways to fix your oral cavity problems. The purpose of this essay is to show how orthodontic treatment began, how it works, how much it is and why you need orthodontic appliances.
It was not until the 1800's, when people started becoming preoccupied with straight teeth, that orthodontics began(Evans).
