1. INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY
The report entitled ‘Organization Study’ at Kerala Feeds Ltd. was done to analyses the practical aspect of business management in the modern business scenario and also to study the various functions of department in the organization. Organizational study, encompass the systematic study and careful application of knowledge about how people act within organizations. Organizational study includes the following disciplines: industrial and organizational psychology, organizational behavior, human resources and management.

Kerala Feeds Ltd., a Kerala Government Company, was set up in 1995, incorporated under the Companies Act. The unit is located in Kallettumkara Village in Mukundapuram Taluk of Thrissur District, Kerala, India beside the Palghat – Ernakulum Railway line and about 7 km from Chalakudy and 9 km from Irinjalakuda. The plant is situated in 27 acres of land. Being an ISO 9001-2008 and ISI certificate holder Company, all the process and technology in Kerala Feeds Limited, meets international standards. The company was also selected by the State Government for the most Result-Oriented energy conservation drives during 2002-03.

1.1 Objective of the Study
The organizational study was carried out at KERALA FEEDS Ltd. to achieve the following specific objectives: To understand the organizational framework and it’s functioning.  To gain knowledge about different departments of the organization and its functions.  To study the interdependence of different departments.  To understand how key business processes are carried out in an industrial undertaking.  To get the practical knowledge about the business administration in an organization.

Limitations of the Study
 Due to busy schedules of the officers and the employees proper detail discussions with them was not possible.  The company was reluctant to reveal some of its official documents and reports which are kept confidential  To understand
