PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND REFLECTION THROUGHTOUT THE SEMESTER

Introduction
Core Business Skill is a task where I learnt how to improve on my basic skills and improving on personalize learning journal I have learnt many things that have not occurred before in my life. The main attempt here is to explain what I have gain throughout the whole semester. This task can help me boost on my Essential skill such as study skills, personal development skills and quantitative skills. This is not an easy task which requires contemplation and anticipation of the field of scope I shall be covering, therefore this module can also help me to broaden my mind and it may help me to be involved as an active participant.

1. Study skills

I. Reading and writing skills
Through these study skills I realize that I have improvement on my reading and writing skills through this semester, we receive a few journals to read and my lecturer even asked me to write an essay on ‘why I choose to be a student’ another task is personalize learning journal since the day that task was given till today I actually state my daily learning journal, I realize how important it is to know what am I doing and learning daily therefore it really does help me on my personal learning skills and writing skill.

II. Searching and evaluating information sources
From this study skill I and my group mate did a research on Burberry perfume we gather enough sources and evaluating for the product after doing all the research we process with our project and the outcome is successful. Through is skill we also learn on how to manage our assignment before starting on the task.
2. Personal developing skills

I. Presentation skill
On the presenting skill we have a total of 3 presentations for this subject and through this presentation it helped me to develop on my confident level on presenting my ideas to the lecturer and to my classmates. I believe that during a presentation the audience must have a clear though towards what message I am sending to them by doing so I use rehearse before the actual presentation day. I use to be afraid of presentation but after time to time presenting in class I realize I gain confident, the fear has nothing to do with my speaking ability I can talk clearly and fluidly now for my presentation and I am really happy with my tremendous improvement.

II. Teamwork skill
According to what I have been through this semester I realize that teamwork is very important when a group task is given. For core business skill we are divided into 4 members in a group we did our task all by dividing it fair and square so that unfair situation doesn’t occurred, on the first day that we form our group we voted for a group leader, deputy team leader, secretary and deputy secretary. From this personal development skill I realize that I can work in a team without any problems with my group mate from this task I know that I am a team person.

III. Communication skill
From communication skill I realize that this element plays a big roll on basically everything, for my surrounding most of my friends around me are foreigners in order to collaborate with them first of all I feel that understand them without any problem is very important I must improve on my English communicating skill in order to build feather relationship with others. Meanwhile the other point is Communicating in a group may lead to many misunderstand at times for instead by exchanging ideas. This matter occurred in me during the group work one of my group mate misunderstood my thoughts for example he made his owe prediction on my thoughts which is wasn’t what I meant. Through this lesson I learnt that in any conversation write specifically and talk clearly so that misunderstanding won’t happen so commonly in the group anymore.

3. Quantitative data presentation

I. Computer skills
Through is skill I have learn something new called as ‘SSPN’ this is a program that help me calculate on the questionnaire that were conducted by me and my group members. I use to know how to calculate the graph analysis through Microsoft excel which is a very basic program till my lecturer introduce me the SSPN program I found out that it is even more efficiency and I can complete my task faster and clearer. Therefore that is something new I learnt.

II. Statistical skill
From this skill I have learn to collect data through distributing the questionnaire from the social network to get my results. I learnt to do statistic on my survey through SSPN from that program It teach us how to analyse the statistic of the graph. Therefore I have broadened my knowledge through statistical skill.

4. Conclusion
As a conclusion I have learn many important things in one short core business skill assignment. I have learnt about reading and writing skill, Searching and evaluating information sources, Presentation skill, teamwork skill, communicating skills, computer skill and lastly statistical skill. For all this skills that I am gain it helps me increases the performance of my ability in a big scope and I have been more effective and successful in doing any of the task stated above. I realize that I have grown in this task as I understand the reason beneath this assignment is to prepare me to face the challenge of tomorrow. I use to be a very irresponsible person but when I had assign to a task, from then I learn to be more responsible so that I won’t put my group member all in trouble just because of my mistake. When the point I have started learning how to communicate properly with my group mate that really thought me a good lesson after that incident everything turn out to be better than ever and most of the planning we did it together and it turns out that we did our task in a fun way and all of us get through with all these problems together with only minor complaints. Lastly I believe without teamwork a task would not be accomplished that easily teamwork plays a big role in me. I am really grateful to have such a good teammates and such a good lecturer.
