Friendship is something that everyone needs at any time. Friendship keeps us closely interacted with our friends, it keeps you popular, keeps you away from loneliness.
Friendship is an essential part of life to everyone. To me, I interact with my friends closely everyday, we chat, we play around, and we work together on homework. For teenagers like us, we like to interact with friends, with people at our age. Without friends, we won’t be able to do anything. We take care of each other, we tell each other everything, and sometimes they are more important than our parents.
Without a friend, every single one of us is by ourselves, no one cares about us, at the meantime, we don 't care about anyone. When you don 't have a friend you will isolate yourself from other people, you will also isolate the part of your heart that wants friends. Without a friend you won’t need to care about your emotion, you just close down your emotion, and focus on how to earn money and get jobs. But one day in the future, you will breakdown, like Crooks in the book, you have to find a place to relief your feelings that are stored in your body, at this moment you need a friend.
It’s hard for us, people with many friends to think of a society where no one has friends, where people just work, get their money and leave. In the book Of Mice and Men, people really just travel by themselves and keep a distance from other people. But there are two exceptions, George and Lennie, they travel together from place to place, and take care of each other to keep them away from loneliness.
The friendship between George and Lennie is tight, but also a necessary friendship, without the friendship both of them won’t be able to survive or keep themselves sane.
