Oc Briefed Oa Case Study
1. September 29th Home and landing pages: OC briefed OA on new home and landing pages for Healthcare.gov. When creating the pages, OC used a two-door approach that placed separate buttons on the page for new and old enrollees to be directed to the specific information needed. Based on testing from last summer, this approach encourages more user interaction.
Action Item: None noted.

2. Marketplace Products for OE4: Other Languages and Alternate Formats: OC briefed OA on making Marketplace products available in other formats and languages for this year’s Open Enrollment. OC recommended that CMS offer the same products in the languages and formats as was done in year 3 for the upcoming Open Enrollment. Although usage of most of these products is low, reducing language or format access in the current environment is not advisable. OC will continue to track usage and revisit annually to ensure the best use of resources.

3. Medium Blog: OC briefed OA on creating a CMS Medium blog. OC recommended that CMS begin posting blogs on Medium as an opportunity to drive more proactive, general consumer-focused messaging, about CMS, the issues we care about, and the work we are doing for the American people. The Medium platform would generate greater awareness and understanding about CMS with the general public, and help with perception and messaging with external partners. OC also recommended that the CMS blog and the Medium blog exist at the same time using the strategy that the White House currently uses for their Medium and traditional blog.
Action Item: OA concurred with the recommendations.

The meeting then went into executive

Western Reserve Racquet & Fitness Club (WRRFC) is one of the premier indoor tennis facilities in Northeast Ohio. WRRFC was first opened in 1970 as a small, family run indoor recreation facility. It remained a small 6 indoor court tennis facility until 1992 when an electrical fire burnt it almost entirely to the ground. It was re-opened in 1993 and featured many new improvements and the club has remained relatively unchanged from then today. It now boasts 10 indoor courts, 5 outdoor clay courts a state of the art fitness facility, luxurious locker rooms featuring steam rooms and saunas, a full bar and a massage spa. Unfortunately, there is no evidence in FLTMPS that the CMC attended to the required ADAMS for Leaders ( CIN S-501-0130) training. This discrepancy was already identified in my Pre-CAV inspection audit. Regardless of the discrepancy being the driver for the results reflected on the Blue H award submission, it needs to be corrected before the CAV inspection .…

On March 10, 2010, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), commonly called “ObamaCare,” became law. The basic premise of the law established state-based health insurance exchanges via the Internet, in which individuals and small businesses could purchase private insurance plans. The Obama administration claimed the website would be a simple, easy to use, one stop destination for uninsured Americans to find affordable health care. However, on the launch date for the website, October 1, 2013, hopeful enrollees encountered all sorts of problems ranging from ranging from error messages to misinformation to tedious delays. 8.1 million users visited the website from October 1 to 4, with less than 1% being able to register (1). Through our due diligence we have discovered management ignored various red flags indicating the website wasn’t ready for release. We propose that administrative officials form a task force, consisting of the brightest minds of the technological world, in order to get the site back on track.…

Regular mail and phone are typically used for one-on-one communication. Newspapers and radio are older forms of one-to-many communication. Over the past decade, blogs arrived on the scene and they’ve had tremendous success as a form of one-to-many communication. The reason for this is that blogs leveraged something that was done very poorly in newspapers and somewhat better in radio – our need for feedback. Blogs made feedback frictionless. Anyone can comment on…

Projects or tenders that a company needs to run, usually preceded by a plan before it can be executing for further development. Project management can be used for planning, controlling, and monitoring a project and usually it is conducted by a planner such as Project Manager. Gantt chart is the good way to show the planning of a project. It is easy to understand and update as a project develops. But the networks of a project are not easy to understand if they have critical paths, dummy activities, nodes and crashing. Usually, many project planners tend to avoid them. The objectives of the project management are to allocate timing to the activities that are critical and not critical, to maximize the use of the resources and find ways to reduce the total project time. Two type of planning method is use to plan a project which is Activity on Arrow (AOA) and Activity on Node (AON).…

UNRAVELING JUMBLED FLOWS WITH RELATIVE STATION PROXIMITY BACKGROUND IBS was shifting to its own campus in Dontanapalli in 2005. This research study was undertaken in 2004 with the intention of analyzing the existing facility layouts at IBS Nagarjuna Hills and IBS Banjara Hills as well as at the Institute for Management Teachers at Punjagutta. The objective of the study was to understand faculty, students and staff perceptions in terms of promoters and inhibiters of productivity in daily activities. Facility is used to mean the site, building, department or device where activities take place. It was observed that the existing layout at IBS developed various inefficiencies as it outgrew its initial requirements over the years which tended to hamper academic activity. At the same time there were layout decisions taken that both student and faculty were appreciative of since they were conducive to and promoted productivity. The study changes in scope and scale in addressing immediate, medium-term as well as long-term issues. The documentation of user perspectives of productivity facilitators and productivity constraints therefore incorporates the voice of the customer (internal as well as external) and serves as one of the inputs for the design of a user-friendly layout. Vox populi vox Dei. RESEARCH OBJECTIVE The facility layout of an organization has practical and strategic implications with respect to saving time and effort and therefore reducing the cost of movement within and between facilities by − Facilitating the flow of customers, material and information and − Increasing the efficient utilization of labor and equipment Layout Planning involves decisions about the physical arrangement of economic activity centres within a facility. An economic activity centre can be anything that takes up space – a person or…
