This especially, causes students to irritate Melinda if she is shy and by herself in the front row: “A guy behind me unwraps his breakfast and shoots a wrapper at the back of my head” (Anderson pg.3). In addition, this supports how people are unaware of the situation that Melinda is in and are going to pick on her because she is shy and sitting with no one. On the contrast, Melinda is not shy really shy and it is just she does not want to sit with strangers instead wants to sit and talk with friends. However, she can not find any of them which is causing Melinda to look bashful because she is sitting by all alone. In conclusion, how Melinda looks and how she actually feels is quite different because on the outside students are just seeing another student in tr front row and possible thinking that she is shy because she is sitting in the front row. In reality, she is not shy but actually just wanting to find a close and dearest friend to talk to and sit with and not with a stranger. The candidates that are awaiting baptism are lined up on the front pew of the church; and they are all dressed in white. The reverend is speaking at the front of the church and he is dressed in white as well. The candidates are of a mixed crowd consisting of men, woman, teens, boys and girls.…

Maggie goes above and beyond not only for her students, but also in most all other aspects of her activities for the College. She truly cares about her students’ well-being and exemplifies our Culture of Caring. For example, she immediately came to the aid of a student in one of her classes who was experiencing a domestic violence situation. She noticed that the student had been in a depressed mood and/or was crying when she came in to class. After speaking to the student, she provided information to help the student get out of that terrible situation. At faculty meetings where concerns about student behavioral issues arise, Maggie is often the one to remind us to show students we care to help prevent those issues. She almost always knows…

“Perception is the result of the processes of selection, organization, and interpretation of information collected through the senses. Perception involves using what one sees, hears, tastes, smells, and feels to derive meaning from the environment and experiences. Whether done consciously or unconsciously, perception is a fundamental component of communication.”(Alberts, 2009) While doing my interview I started off by giving this definition of perception, just to let her know what was expected for her to look at, in general the big picture. I decided to interview my boss, Veronica Munguia, because I believe that she can pretty much answer to all the questions truthfully and is not afraid of telling me in what areas I need to work on. For the first ten questions she answered almost always, in my job it is expected for me to show what we call six dollar service. Which means that we have to offer; friendly greeting, smiles, show respect, give eye contact, and let our gust express their selves if they are not satisfied. She states that most of this is very natural to my person and doesn’t have to worry much about not letting our guest feel satisfied when they come to our restaurant.…
