Nurse Residency Research
The service learning project (SLP) of nurse residency programs (NRP) conducted for Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital (FMH) presented opportunities for learning, growth, and teamwork for the members of group four. The expectation of our group was to search for relevant data in the form of research articles which offered strong evidence describing the benefits the nursing staff of FMH would gain in the event of their implementation of an NRP for their new to practice nurses. The findings of the research were presented in the form of a creative poster board which not only captured the principal elements the evidence had to offer, it also displayed the data with the purpose of showing the essence of a new to practice nurse progressing from a caterpillar
