1. Introduction
This report aims to explore the views of those who support nuclear energy as a source of electricity and those who oppose it. It will also analyze the issue of using nuclear energy as a power source, why this issue is so significant as well as the people involved in this issue.
2. The issue
Due to the rising cost and at the same time, the declining availability of fossil fuel, many countries seek cheap, alternative ways to produce electricity for their people. As nuclear energy is cheap because of the large amount of uranium reserve on Earth and that it is also able to produce large amount of electricity, it has become the most likely solution to solving this issue.
3. The significance of the issue
Nuclear energy has the potential to succeed fossil fuels as the main source of generating electricity. This is due to the declining availability of fossil fuels around the world. As a result, nuclear energy seems to be the more likely alternative to fossil fuels as power source. However, the use of nuclear energy brings negative side effects especially to the environment and human population due to its radioactivity.
4. The participants in the issue
The main parties involved in this issue include governments of countries as well as advocates for nuclear energy as an alternative energy source and the citizens of those countries who are against nuclear energy because of the negative byproducts that it releases.

5. The differing views
1.1 Arguments for nuclear energy
Supporters of this argument firmly believe that nuclear energy is the solution to solving the problem of using fossil fuel for producing electricity.
1.1.1 No greenhouse gases produced
Unlike fossil fuel, which produces greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, which is a principal contributor to global warming, nuclear energy

As a society grows and develops, there are many issues the people must face during the process. One of the most important problems modern civilizations must solve is where and how they get their energy. In our day and age, we rely heavily on fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas, and oil. Patrick Moore, a writer for the Washington Post, composes an argument for nuclear power and recommends that it should be the future for all things energy. Moore’s argument is a convincing article that would most likely pull many neutral readers to see his side very clearly. The article gives all the pros to the uses of nuclear energy, and does an excellent job of addressing all possible counter-arguments.…

Many people around the world ask themselves what are the disadvantages of adopting an alternative solution to solve the consumption of global nuclear energy? Based on what we have experienced through events with major disasters and the aftermath of many casualties, it has summed up to result in having failures outgrowing expectations. Therefore, global nuclear power usage is to be opposed due to the fact that it comes with high financial costs, nuclear waste management complications, and the fact that thousands in populations are mass numbers of casualties.…

What is nuclear power? Basically, rods of uranium are treated so that it heats water into steam and this steam turns turbines, which convert the mechanical energy to electricity. By studying sources of the energy, evidence indicates that nuclear energy is dangerous; safer alternatives exist, and the power affects the country in a negative economic manner. Therefore, the author is against the aggrandizement of funds towards nuclear energy programs.…

What is nuclear power? Nuclear power is a power source that uses fission of uranium to generate heat. The heat is used to create steam from water that is used to create electricity that people use every day at home or work. There are about four-hundred nuclear power plants in the world and one-hundred of them are located in the United States. We will be looking at the risk and relative gains of using nuclear power over other systems as well as what factors need to be considered before building and operating a nuclear power plant. Then we will discuss how I might go about deciding where to put a nuclear plant. Also how I would react if I found out a new nuclear power plant was going to be built one-hundred and twenty-five miles from my home along with my reaction to a new nuclear power plant being built only twelve point five miles from my home. I do not have any personal experience with nuclear power so I will go over what happened in Japan in 2011 as well as what I think is important for informed citizens to know about nuclear power. After going over all of this I hope I have been able to bring you some information that may be helpful to someone in the future. Nuclear power is something not to mess with and needs to be handled by the proper trained technicians. If not handled properly it can cause serious damage to the health of the environment and to the health off all species.…

Scientists have said that using nuclear power is used to power electricity in most homes. They have also been saying that nuclear power tend to work better than using fossil fuels, gas power, and hydroelectric power. Since scientists are saying it works better, than we can use more nuclear power than using fossil fuels, gas power, and hydroelectric power.…

Thesis Statement. Nuclear energy is a double edged sword. It is every country’s right to own nuclear weapons as a defence mechanism against any outside threat. A country that owns a nuclear weapon is feared and respected by all other countries and no one will think of starting a war or getting into a political or cultural chaos with this nation. Apart from nuclear energy being used to manufacture weapons of mass destruction, it can also be used to generate electricity more reliably, and it’s considered to be the fuel of the future. It also can be used by humans for the treatment of cancer or for diagnosis.…

Some of these alternative energy sources that are being bantered about and, in some places, implemented include solar, wind, and hydroelectric power. The majority of Americans would agree that all of these forms of alternative energy are safe and should be pursued as new means of powering the country. However, there is one well-known energy source that stirs up dissent and division among the country’s citizens: nuclear power.…
