With the rapid economic development, energy issues now before us suddenly, to protect energy security will be directly related to the ability of our economy to maintain a good momentum of development. Energy shortages will severely restrict economic development. It is widely believed that the main resource for the electricity generation is fossil fuel. However ,the generation of electricity using fossil fuels is a major and growing factor to the emission of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, which does harm to the environment and affects the climate all over the world. For this reason, the use of new energy for the electricity generation comes to its stage. In this essay, nuclear power generation has been introduced with all the advantages and disadvantages, and the possibility if nuclear will completely replace fossil fuels in the generation of

electricity in the future.Considering the increasing demand of energy and the purpose of environmental-friendly,nuclear power generation is necessary.

!
Nuclear electric power generation provides an economical and dependable way to satisfy the energy supply and reducing the dependence on fuel supplies.Compared with fossil fuels, nuclear fuels’ energy density is higher by millions,so nuclear fuels need a smaller space to store, which also makes the transportation convenience.Unlike other fuels such as coal and gas,the price of uranium remains stable and the price is less likely to be influenced by international economic situation in the future. The relatively low generation cost of nuclear means that it can provide high quality of power continuous and economically.Nuclear electric power generation is an ideal way of power generation, which contributes to energy security and enhances generation diversity. !
Nuclear power generation is an important way to achieve a low-carbon power generation. At this moment ,most power generation stations’ main fuel is fossil fuel which releases large amount of carbon dioxide. It is well known that too much carbon dioxide will to harm to the environment all over the world, the most terrible consequence is the global warming. In order to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide emissions, nuclear power station is expected to undertake more tasks of power generation.Nuclear power is the use of nuclear fission reactors in the release of energy for power generation,it will not produce any polluting gases in the process of power generation. At present, nuclear power generation is the most reliable of power generation which does less harm to the environment,so it should be spread and applied all over the world.

!
Despite all the advantages mentioned above, there also exists some disadvantages.Firstly, nuclear power is a controversial method of generating

electricity, many people concerned about whether it can be used safely and what to do if the radioactive fuel leaks.Several serious accidents about nuclear power station took place during the last decades, people living near the station suffered a lot, they had to move away from their hometown to a safety place and the nuclear fuel will stay in the air for a long time before volatilize completely. So,if some of the nuclear power station accident really happens,it will bring huge losses to both environment and economy.

!
Another disadvantage about nuclear power station is how to deal with the radioactive waste material. Some of the waste remains radioactive for thousands of years after been used.Currently they are stored in relatively safety places such as deep caves and mines. But with time goes by,more and more radioactive wastes need to be stored, the challenge is whether people can find as much as caves to store them.Even if there are a large number of places to store the radioactive waste, nobody know whether people could handle them properly. If the nuclear waste stored incorrectly, there would be a disaster,no one can image how terrible it will be.Assuming that the waste can be stored safety, but keeping them for thousands of years has a high cost.It makes nuclear power generation meaningless if all the profits it had made for people spent on storing the nuclear waste. So,it seems unnecessary to develop nuclear power station.

!
Considering all the advantages and disadvantages mentioned, some people may confused about whether nuclear power station should be built and applied.Although there are few disadvantages of nuclear power generation, nuclear electric power generation provides a economic and low carbon way of electricity producing. A fundamental solution of the energy crisis requires development of nuclear power technology. Nuclear power generation are receiving worldwide attention because its’ tempting prospect. Nuclear power is bound to be the most essential way in the future to solve the energy

crisis. People believe that with the development of science and technology, all the problems will be solved in the future, and nuclear power generation may become the most reliable way of power generation.

!
Overall, from the economic aspects, developing nuclear power can not be eyeless. For nuclear energy plays an important role in promoting social, economic and environmental development in the world. Many factors have been considered, such as nuclear power station is more economic, lowcarbon, may be not as safe as it is expected and have difficulties in dealing with the nuclear wastes. With more and more advanced technologies applied to nuclear power generation,it will become the most reliable way of power producing.Developing nuclear power needs a large number of nuclear personnel, and also requires countries to accelerate the training of nuclear power related units talent. Only a comprehensive consideration of the factors affecting the development of nuclear power, nuclear power can be a positive and healthy development.

Nuclear power plants do not release harmful carbon dioxide into the environment like the fossil fuels that are mostly used. Therefore, it can actually help with the problem of global warming around the world and even here. Nuclear power plants are also considered more reliable since they do not depend on the wind or the sun in order to produce energy. This means that nuclear energy can provide a more reliable base load of energy even when the demand for energy is very high like during the summer months when everyone is using their air conditioners.…

This powerful energy was found by William Rontgen in 1895. The energy released by the nucleus is used in the production of nuclear reactors which perform variety of functions. The nuclear reactors are used to boil water at a very high temperature within a specified period of time to use for industrial and production purposes. That water is also used to activate the turbine that is present in the shaft of a generator. The nuclear energy is powerful because helps in production of heat and electricity is larger quantities. It is a form of energy that does not directly create air pollution like combustion of coal or release of petroleum products produces. Nuclear energy is a source of power and may be used in the future as a means of substitute because it is free from pollution. There are many advantages of nuclear energies which the other form of energies cannot provide. Although it releases energy it does not inject any harmful gases like carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide , carbon monoxide etc that is hazardous to environment. It does not constitute in the rise of global warming which the other form of energies do. When nuclear energy is being produced many area of the land is not occupied.
