Nuba Mountains Research Paper
If I had the opportunity to meet one person in the world for a day, I would want to meet Pastor Wani who works in the Nuba mountains of Sudan. The Nuba mountains are a very dangerous place for Christians now due to Sudanese government bombers. The bombers often attack churches, hospitals, schools, and homes; people of the Nuba mountains are constantly seeking shelter at the sound of a plane’s engine. Pastor Wani has kept his faith and hope as he strives to protect his people, and continue loving people and spreading the gospel. Pastor Wani was captured by the Sudanese government soldiers earlier this year, but he was able to escape. This evangelist and the people of the Nuba mountains continue to press on through the bombings and torture they

I invite you to explore Black Canyon on the western slope of the White Mountains, about 20 minutes east of Bishop, California. This obscure canyon is a highly colorful, deep slash in the earth that keeps its many charms secret to all but a handful of Eastern Sierra visitors. It is an easily accessible location that does not involve a scary, butt-clenching drive on the brink of a thousand-foot drop into the abyss.…

In his book Share Jesus Without Fear, William Fay lays out an easy and attainable way for one to reach people for Christ. A former mobster, and prostitution house owner, Fay says that if “God can take somebody like me and change him, he can take anybody in your life and change him as well.”1 In an easy to understand, comprehensive way, Fay shows how to overcome your fears and witness to those who are lost. By breaking down the six most common excuses one uses not to evangelize, he shows how to overcome the roadblocks that we place on ourselves. For instance, one of the fears he addresses is the fear of rejection. Fay points out that one must realize that this is not a contest. He says, “success is sharing your faith and living your life for Jesus Christ. It has nothing to do with bringing anyone to the Lord.”2 He goes on to say that it takes someone 7.6 times of hearing the Gospel before they give their lives to Christ. Just because you may have been the 3rd, does not mean that it didn’t make a difference. Throughout the book Fay lays out questions to ask, verses to go to, and objections that you will encounter, to lay out a way for you to share your faith with others without excuse.…

Father Kelly dedicates his life to his cause; which is to turn around the lives of those who lack opportunities for success and settle for violence. He works with many gang members who are trying to turn their lives around. Father Kelly has had much success with his cause. At the ministry he provides a safe haven for people to get off the dangerous streets and maybe acquire some tutoring, or participate in extracurricular activities. I have come to understand that I have an innate urge to help those more disadvantaged than I. I believe that God has placed this urge in my so that I can be an instrument of his will. We all have the potential and are called to me such an instrument and that calling comes in different avenues for each person. I believe that I have found one such avenue. I learned God understands and know the potential in each person and will task him or her with only the things they have the power to handle. I pray that as the years go forth and I enter into my professional career this experience and other experience will grant me the knowledge on how to create a nonprofit organization that will help the children of Haiti gain a proper education.
