Nt1310 Unit 6 Research Paper Topics
1. Introduction
I am going to introduce networking with six different topics in networking for example I will talk about. understand networking, early networking, Ethernet technology, layering models, understanding networking protocols and networking topology. These Are the topics I would be writing about.

2. Understand networking
Networking is everywhere one of the main benefits is that we can share devices such as printers, scanners, CD-ROM drives and many more. Also, we can connect to networks as Meyers (2003, p3) said “one network can be connected to another network and become a more powerful tool because of the great resources”.

3. The early network
When we always think of network everyone probably thinks about computer networks, television network or local area network. in our

Understanding networking protocols
Computers use network protocols to communicate with computer network there are many network protocols as Hallberg (2005, p92) said “for example, transmission control protocols/internet protocols (TCP/IP) defines a set of rules used to send data from one node on a network to another node”.

7. Network topology
It is an arrangement of the various elements of a communication network. There are different types of topology as Lowe (2012, p8) said “each type of networking topology (bus, star, expanding star, ring, mesh) offers advantages and disadvantages”.

There is a physical connection running between two computers that want to connect. This is made possible because phone lines that run from houses to switches to other houses that the phone company lets dial to each other. Or another alternative it could be network cables going to hubs and other computers. Also, it could be cable lines running to fiber optic lines, through routers. And lastly it could be radio waves that computers can broadcast and receive.…

Networks are the connections between two devices. How they are interconnected changes the type of network, while the principle is the same as our communication. Networks are made to exchange information in the shortest path possible with the best replication of the original data. Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), Campus Area Networks (CAN), Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN) and Home Area Networks (HAN) are all varieties of how devices can be interconnected to each other over a variety of distances (Peter Norton / University of Phoenix, 2006).…

Computer Networking is a subject rich with specialized terminology and technology. Computer networks have spawned a language of their own, and half the challenge of becoming network literate lies in mastering this terminology. You must learn some new vocabulary. You are required to use various resources to determine the meaning and/or definitions for the following computer networking terms. You may consult textbooks, class notes, additional slides on isNotes (ICN210 folder), the internet, etc. As much as possible, attempt to explain the meaning of the terms in your own words. Simply cutting and pasting text from internet sources is not allowed. Restrict the explanations or definitions to a few sentences only. Provide diagrams and examples wherever applicable. Do not simply copy the work of another student. This defeats the whole purpose of the learning exercise. The completed list of definitions/explanations should be submitted via email to icn.changula@gmail.com before Friday 02/03/2012…

Local Area Networks also called LANs have been a major player in industrialization of computers. In the past 20 or so years the worlds industry has be invaded with new computer technology. It has made such an impact on the way we do business that it has become essential with an ever-growing need for improvement. LANs give an employer the ability to share information between computers with a simple relatively inexpensive system of network cards and software. It also lets the user or users share hardware such as Printers and scanners. The speed of access between the computers is lighting fast because the data has a short distance to cover. In most cases a LAN only occupies one or a group of buildings located next to each other. For larger area need there are several other types of networks such as the Internet.…
