The book I read is called Now & Forever by Susan Colasanti;the book took place in the USA. The main character is Sterling. Her boyfriend, Ethan, becomes an overnight sensation. Sterling loves this life, until her Gram dies. Sterling and her Gram were really close. This leaves Sterling devastated;she immediately calls Ethan, but he's too busy to talk.Sterling decides to surprise him at his last show on tour, she catches him with someone else when she was gone, Sterling seems to be pessimistic about what she just witnessed. After confronting him, she breaks up with him. She starts to understand that before you love someone else you have to love yourself first. She becomes more confident and self-reliant.
