Corruption and Indian media
Just by looking at the topic the two things strikes to our mind is the word corruption and media....with which we are engaged with in our day to day life. Every time we switch to news channels on our television set we find stories related to corruption coming on it... Either their will news of bribing someone or accepting the bribe from someone..
Corruption does not stop here only...we came across with corruption right from our birth...when we were kids...parents used to tell us they will but you new dress or toy if we stood 1st in class...that was also a corruption only...so we see this corruption is everywhere around us.
Well we can easily say that Indian media and corruption go hand in hand...Indian media fully supports corruption in many ways...take the simplest example of paid news...This is also a type of corruption which is done in favour of persons, which is totally biased and un-ethical. Thus, corruption is a form of behaviour which departs from ethics, morality, tradition and law.
The 2G spectrum scam is shame for the entire India which is planning to become an economic and technology superpower. More shameful than it is the involvement of Barkha Dutt and Vir Sanghvi in the entire episode. She is the same Barkha Dutt what an Indian girl studying journalism wants to be. She is the same Barkha who dared to cover Kargil. And, now come to Vir Sangvi who is famous for ruthless words against corruption in his column in the Hindustan Times. They not only betrayed the ethics of journalism but also slapped every Indian who thought and admired Barkha Dutt and Vir Sanghvi as the messiah of fearless and impartial journalism.
