Nowadays, the question humanity has been the cause of many headaches; philosophers often spent days on end looking for a valid interpretation for humanity and existentialism. One very renowned French Philosopher named Rene Descartes said in his book Discourse on the Method “I doubt, therefore I think, therefore I am” (). This somewhat broad statement brings with it an escape from existential issues we may have, illustrating that to question ones existence is to exist. This brings forth questions such as these: “is having humanity just being human? Do all humans have humanity? Is there no way to achieve humanity?
