“NJROTC” (Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps)
The Junior Reserve Officer’s Training Corps I a Federal Program sponsored by the United States Armed Forces in high schools across the U.S the military has stated that JROTC will inform young Americans about the opportunities available in the military and may help motivate young Americans toward military service. NJROTC is not only to teach us about the navy but is allowing us to become great leaders in the future. In this program I have learn three things: Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Most important thing is to be well disciplined. Without discipline in every cadet, it would be chaos, fight and more bad things happening in the unit. In out unit discipline helps us to march and keep out mouths shut when someone is talking to us. In the future everybody needs discipline to not only get a job but also keep it. Today in my NJROTC class if you’re late for the class you have a chose between pushups or getting a tardy, because there is no reason that we should be late. The way NJROTC embeds respect into cadets is by treating them so that they feel the respect. Respect is mutual from cadet to SNSI and from SNSI to cadet.
I myself had to learn the hard way that respect is a major thing in life and you should never under appreciate that person in charge of you because they will get you in the end. When I am out on my own with my own job, I need to respect those who out rank me so that thy also respect me and treat me fair. NJROTC is not only a Navy class but also a class to help high school student to wake up from their teenage years and realize that someday soon they are going to be on their own and need to learn how to survive in the real world. NJROTC taught me how to be well disciplined, on time, and how to respect my elders. Hopefully all the other cadets in this cadet’s unit also learn as many things that will allow him or
