Nikola Tesla's Predictions
One of the predictions that John Wilkins stated in his book, A Discourse Concerning a New World and Another Planet, was that people would be able to fly through the air someday. “...it possible to make a flying chariot in which a man may sit and give such a motion unto it as shall convey him through the air. And this perhaps might be made large enough to carry diverse men at the same time, together with food for their viaticum and commodities for traffic” (Wilkins 1: 104). These predictions did come true, in a sense. Nowadays, we can fly through the sky in a plane with many other people and amenities such as food and luggage.
