Nike: Restructuring In The Army
Restructuring Restructuring in the Army is usually done as new leaders are developed. This is done to ensure all soldiers know everyone's strengths and weakness. The effect on each soldier and management is an ongoing learning process however continues to bring the group together and ensures that internally the organization has trust, confidence, discipline, respect, for each soldier and the management. Nike is in constant movement, and under restructuring. Using the talents of veteran employees and bringing in new and fresh ideas is important to the innovation process within each department. Nike encourages internal movement (Nike.com 2006) where it makes good sense for the employee and Nike.

Being a retail business it is key in understanding the economy and needs a great deal of attention. If an area of the world is suffering greatly then the possibility of a new product launch will not be successful thus creating a negative twist on Nike's business.

Organizational Mission Organizational Mission is usually directed by a higher management. The effect is usually inspiring for soldiers and management to get a new mission hoping for something different and challenging. As a corporation Nike has instilled a mission in each of the employees, and that being, "To bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete* in the world. *If you have a body, you are an athlete. – Bill Bowerman" (Nike.com 2006) Being a part of such a positive energy and force within the business world brings inspiration to the employees. Having a positive mission is very important to the business.

Customer demands Customer demands for the Army are considered our society and government and what is expected in a given situation. Demands or assumptions of the Army's has put strain and hardship on many of the management and caused confusion to many soldiers in the direction and purpose the organization is

The effect on a soldier to experience a new challenge, learn new things and explore different cultures is rewarding in itself. However for those who do not wish to work in an environment that is unusual or uncomfortable, can cause stress, panic, and hardship. Requiring management to ensure all soldiers are motivated and the vision of the mission is clear. Nike is a corporation that has parts of the business all around the world. With a presence in Japan, South East Asia, Korea, China, Australia, Canada and many more, the amount of diversity and experience is well covered. Nike has a Women's Group that concentrates their studies on Women in business globally. The group will hold another workshop this year in South East Asia and employees that have joined the efforts in making this company work for them, will be invited to attend. Through email, telephone calls and conferencing the correspondence between the United States and the other countries has been the answer to the success of the business of Nike globally.
