Niagara Falls
I could talk about how spending more than 16 hours in a bus in less than 72 hours is both exhausting and painful. I could talk about how we spent the night in a hostel where there were no toilets and probably mice living in the heater. I could talk about how spending a whole afternoon shopping in New York made me become happy (and broke!) and I could talk about how I’ve been for the first time to Wal-Mart this weekend. However, today, I want to make you travel with me. I want you to imagine what I saw and try to feel what I felt. Today, I am taking you somewhere far away from troubles and stress. So, let the journey begin…
One second… It only took me one second to look up and stare at the most breathtaking view I’ve ever seen in my life. The word breathtaking here was not used as a simple metaphor. I literally stopped breathing for about 3 seconds, completely subjugated by the beauty of what I was facing. The staring part though lasted for hours, long hours that seemed to be unnoticeable short minutes. What I felt at that moment, the transition between looking at my feet and lifting up my head to face the landscape, it is something that can hardly be put into words. You might be wondering by now what is this thing that had such an intense effect on me. Two words: Niagara Falls.
There is only so much you can tell about how gorgeous they are. To be completely fair, even though pictures can give you an idea about the beauty of the place, it is absolutely nothing compared to actually standing there, right in front of them. The sound of the water falling off from up high, bursting as it hits the rocks, fiercely making its way into the flow of the river, smoothly mixing with the water and running to discover the rest of the world…I just closed my eyes and let myself be mesmerized by the grace of what I was hearing. For a second there, I couldn’t hear my friends laughing anymore. I couldn’t hear the tour guide making bad jokes about how we should carefully choose the

We drove to the top of the slopes. It took us about 45 minutes and we were at an altitude of more than 12 000 feet. The sun made breathtaking views, and the air was as clean as a whistle. Sometimes you wondered if you would not be able to you catch your breath, but it just the height that made breathing for the first time so difficult. The adrenaline was growing and I was so afraid that I might have forgotten…

One of the most interesting Angel Falls facts is how these falls were discovered. The falls received their name because of an American bush pilot who was named Jimmy Angel. Angel crashed near the top of the falls in the year 1937, and then alerted the world to what he had found. This is one of the top Venezuela vacation spots, and an experience that no visitor should miss.…

The plane trip was only 3 hrs, but it still gave her a lot more thinking time. It was going to be good to get away her mother and father had told her, being the youngest by a long way she was used to spending her holidays with only them. No one was talking most of the time so I could think clearly I just heard the breeze coming through the window as we pass each sign on the highway. I started figuring myself over the years during these 2 hour trips. Realizing how much this all has made me grow. I kept healthy relationships with everyone and a healthy relationship with myself. Every good grade I got made me know I wasn’t falling apart no matter how bad things were. I always thought to myself what do I need to fix, how will I win next weeks game, and what do I need to do to better my technique, Even though it felt like I didn’t have what a perfect home is usually called, me working hard in school and towards my future kept me together it was home to…

This photograph captures the notion how waterfalls are timeless. You can stare the falls for hours, and every moment feels like the last. As the water transcends down as captured by the photograph, a setting of Zen is created in essence. The photograph, captured in black and white, is contrasted in order to emphasize certain aspects of the picture and to draw in anyone who lays their eyes on it. Furthermore, the photograph’s size does not represent its vastness. As I mentioned before, an observer cannot understand the impact of Niagara Falls unless they view it in person. But, I feel if the picture were blown up, it would only help how powerful the image of the falls is.…

“A mind that is stretched by a new experience can never go back to its old dimensions.” –Oliver Wendell Holmes. One day, I was walking around campus with my friend Faith when both of us stumbled upon a sign in the elevator that mentioned a trip to Europe to study our favorite parts of history. From that minute and on both of us knew we had to look into this one of a kind trip. A few days later we attended the course meeting for the trip both of us looked at each other, nodding our heads in excitement. This was when we finally and completely decided this trip would be for us and we would do everything in our power to go. I was hoping this adventure would show me the people, places, and things that I had heard about in books but also more. I…

While scouting this spot it started to snow, big heavy snowflakes, dainty light snowflakes, the wind started blowing, it was a tunnel effect almost because there were so many trees. Beautiful is an understatement to this experience, to see the trees dance in the wind with the snow blowing around them was astonishing. This sight was serene, peaceful and absolutely memorizing. We started by going on a boat from St. Ignace to Mackinac Island. When we arrived there we rented bikes to ride around the island. After that we decided to go ziplining at a Starbucks. I realized that ziplining wasn’t as scary as I thought it would be. The coolest thing that I saw there was the arch rock; it was so fascinating because it was all real stone. You could see the gorgeous bright blue lake through the hole in the rock. It was so beautiful that we all decided to take a photo in front of the…
