I will never forget the moment I first laid eyes on the Metropolitan Museum. It was freshman year and I went with my mother and my brother. It was after dark and all its lights were shining on the building. The building itself looked like something straight out of a movie. The building was beautifully designed and was much larger than I was expecting it to be. As I walked into the lobby room, I already felt a sense of luxury. You might say that I’m a little bias since my heritage is Egyptian, but I truly enjoyed the Egyptian exhibit. I really like walking through the Temple of Dendur. The temple was on a stone like platform surrounded with water. The Temple of Dendur looks a 1000 times better during the night time. When it is after dark the whole room is pitch black besides some sculptures and the temple. This gives off a sense of mysteriousness and that feeling is like no other. Another that thing that caught my attention about the Egyptian exhibit was the intricacy of every sculpture, painting, and sarcophagus.
