Naya Menezes Character Analysis
A teenager named Naya Menezes was simply concerned about her peers and close friends. She was seeing many soccer players getting head injuries on the field and wanted to do something about it. Naya came up with the idea of testing different types of headgear, to see exactly what was protective and what you could do without. In order to do this she needed the types of headgear and something to test it on, which later ended up being a mannequin. She put an accelerometer in the mannequin's head to measure how far back the mannequin moved back because of the ball’s force. To throw the ball Naya used one of the devices that shoots tennis balls. She had the machine shoot the balls in speeds varying from 40 to 65 miles per hour.
