Narrative Essay About Human Trafficking
I aspire to use my education to impact local and global communities by hopefully preventing, and terminating human trafficking. I plan to achieve this goal by pursuing my dream of becoming an agent in the Federal Bureau of Investigation with a degree in History and Russian and minor degree in Spanish from Trinity. After I have acquired my degrees, my plan is to attend law school to acquire my law degree and then begin my training at the F.B.I. Academy in Quantico. Hopefully, once I have completed my training I will become a special agent and join the Anti-Trafficking Coordination Team (ACTeam) of the F.B.I. I know that becoming an agent in the F.B.I to terminate human trafficking sounds simple. According to the F.B.I.’s 2011 report on trafficking, it is the fastest-growing business of organized crime and the third-largest criminal enterprise in the world. Even though most of the social impacts of human trafficking pertain to the people being trafficked, there are always some effects on society as a whole. A very strong example of this was the 2010 World Cup, which took place in South Africa. South Africa has a significant problem with human trafficking, causing a bit of a controversy on whether or not the World Cup should actually be held there. The reason human why human trafficking imposed such a serious problem during the World Cup was that there would be an increased amount of tourists, meaning an increased amount of men, in South Africa. Since men are the highest consumers in the human trafficking world, that meant there was a fairly great chance for increased amounts of trafficking during that time period.
