Narrative Essay About Basketball
Today I am going to be talking about my 8th grade year when I had played basketball for the Dupree Tigers and how it had a big impact on me. This event had occurred last year and was a very fun experience for me which also brought me very close with everyone who was on the basketball team that year. Everyone who can’t play again this year will be missed and no one will be forgotten because of how much fun everyone had been on the team because there isn’t only just bragging rights, ability to dunk, or how much points you scored in a game, but there were also a lot of funny stories to tell about past experiences and things that had recently happened or other tales of mischief that was mainly basketball related.

The practice always

The running exercises and workouts we did were sometimes fun or funny to do with a friend, but they made you put in a lot of work. Even if one of the teammates had an erratic shot form nobody particularly made fun of them there was always joking around because the team always had a good time doing basketball related activities or it could be just walking around while finding something to do. Most of the time being in the crowd was fun too, because as we watched the varsity games we watched as everything got intense and everyone in the audience would be yelling but in the end everyone had a fun time enjoying the game.

In the end the whole basketball season was really fun and after it ended everything felt a little weird, but the memories I made from the season was a really fun experience. The practicing, the games, and the even just playing the game was really fun. Being able to play on the same team with my friends and become closer with the rest of the team was really fun and so was the competitive talks, or arguments, the team talked about. Basketball was a really fun event that I had

The best part of my freshman basketball team was traveling to different location with my team. While we travel on the road, we would often sing, and dance on the bus. Coach Belford would often go over plays with the team before the games on the bus. We would look out the bus windows to look at the new environment. Me and a couple of my teammates would stretch on the bus before the games. My favorite thing to do on the bus, was to listen to music. Listening to music always hype me up before the game. It was like pregame ritual for every game I played. Sometimes we would go out to eat after the games as a team. When we win most of the time we would sing are school anthem. Think about it now my freshmen basketball road trip were the best trip I had during my high school…

It all began with a simple phone call one night after dinner. “Joe,” my father hollered up the stairs, “it’s for you. It’s Jackie, and she sounds upset.” As I came downstairs to pick up the phone, I was not happy. I was tired and had looked forward to a nice and quiet evening at home, not another stupid adventure with Jackie.…

I played basketball for all four years of my high school. I was on the freshman team my freshman year, Junior Varsity team my sophomore year, and played Varsity my junior and senior year. My freshman year I was voted team captain and that helped me gain leadership skills and communication skills. I earned the award of honorable mentioned in basketball. In Basketball I practiced a lot, because I knew I could get better. Throughout basketball we had several coaching changes. We had Mr. Smith then Mr. Parker and now Mrs. Smith as coaches. Having a different coach every year I feel like it was making it more difficult for the players to grow as a team and ourselves. Each coach had very different ways of teaching the game. Even though it was hard to have coaches leave we also gained different amounts of knowledge from each one, which I thought was a great privilege to get to…

We made the impossible, possible. Rated 8th out of 8 teams at nationals and ending up 3rd was crazy. The vibration of the basketball hitting the ground is the best feeling the world. Light was shining through the humongous windows onto the worn out gym floor like a flash light. The other teams jerseys were as red as a rose...and as red as the blood pouring out of my mouth. Thats a good story. I am here to tell you about it.…

I joined MYB in 5th grade. I wanted more of a competition league after coming from Upward basketball. The first year my team was horrible and everyone went their separate ways after the season. I joined Dave Buffenbarger’s team the following year hoping for a better outcome. A lot of the girls on that team were some of my close friends, and some were not. This was not a problem as we quickly became close. MYB gave me the chance to make new friends through their league and become even closer with my old friends. With a few players always coming and going after each season, I ended up playing for Dave up until my senior year. Being on Dave’s team for so long gave me the chance to grow close to my teammates. Being with my team for many years and…

Life is comprised of a series of learning profound learning experiences. On that stands out occurred last year in seventh grade. Two friends and I decided we wanted to try something new, to learn how to play basketball! We made that decision mainly because we wanted to do an activity together for the winter term, and seventh graders didn't have the option of doing the winter school play. We were very hesitant; only one of us had any experience playing basketball, and we didn't think it would be very fun to run up and down a court trying to get a ball in a hoop. Still we kept an open mind and began to learn how to play.…

It was her very first basketball game. Chase came with me to, my older brother, Nate’s basketball game. We arrived just as the Chelsea Hornets were getting ready. The warmth of the gym wrapped around our bodies, and the scent of teenage boy sweat filled our nostrils, making me almost retch. Chase sounded very excited when she asked me, “Where should we sit?” As any normal little girl would do, we both raced each other to the top of the blue high school bleachers and sat down in sync. My mom, little brother, Soren, and older sister, Lexi, followed behind the two of us while Nate ran out to the court to join his Chelsea Hornet basketball buddies. The game went on with the Hornets losing by seven points. Moms among the crowd were yelling about unjust fouls made towards their team.…
