Narrative Essay About Andrin
Maybe for other people it was just an ordinary day to start their daily routine and to finish their tasks. But for Edwin and Nenita, it was an extraordinary day because another life was added to their family. And that day, which was on the 9th of June, 9:18 a.m. to be exact, was the time when I first exist in this world. My parents considered Ana Angelica to become my name but they thought that it was a long name. So at last, they decided to christen me as Angelica and in our home, they nicknamed me as Ana. Yet in school, I preferred to be called Andrin. I am the type of person who was shy, quiet and not-so-energetic. But deep inside, I have many thoughts in my mind, many topics to talk about and many things to do. It was just that I am not …show more content…
I became interested on that because during that time Journalism was “new” for me. My teacher on that subject chose me to become the editorial cartoonist who will compete to other schools. But after two years, he thought that I am not into cartooning so I try another category which is copyreading and headline writing. When I first compete on that category, I won 10th place on the division level. Because of that winning, I pursue to become more excellent on that. Later on, I became the assistant editor-in-chief in our school publication. I think my greatest achievement when I was in high school was when I became the class salutatorian in our batch. This achievement boost my self-esteem because this only proved that despite of the difficult circumstances, I can still turn my goal into reality, of course with the help of God. I took the entrance exam of Polytechnic University of the Philippines, University of the Philippines and Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila in preparation to the next chapter of my life, which is the college life. Among the three universities, I passed the exam of PUP and PLM. But back then, PLM was my dream university because they said that it has a high standard and the students there are bright. So when someone said that I passed the exam on that university, which was I didn’t expect to happen because the exam was quite difficult, I became so glad because I knew that that was only the …show more content…
I’m glad that I am classified to belong on that course because that was my second choice, but I still prefer to take the accountancy. I personally talked to the guidance counselor to ask if there was something that I can do on my situation. Good thing there was a privilege for the honor students to choose the course that they want. Of course there was no turning back once I chose accountancy, but I still take the risk. My life in accountancy was like a wheel that keeps rolling. There are many times that I became so discouraged because of failed exams and quizzes but life still goes on. There are also times when I became determined to continue my path in this course like when I passed the comprehension exam there. Yet when I am on my second year, my wheel became tired in moving. I realized that I am not happy in accountancy and this is not what I want so I have to let it go now. My wheel eventually became flat and cannot roll anymore when my professor in Financial Accounting 1 gave me a failed grade. I have no choice but to accept that and to have another wheel that will lead me into another path of success. After all, I believe that His plans in my life will still prevail. Now, I am a third year student taking up a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Finance and Treasury Management. I am more relax and happy in my course now compare to the other one before.

One would think that purchasing your first home would be a very fascinating experience; after all it is one of the most major purchases of your entire life. In America, home ownership ties in with the American Dream and the spirit of working hard to one day earn through hard work a home with a white picket fence. My husband and I felt that it was time for us to reward ourselves for all the hard work we have been putting in over the years by purchasing our first home, which was well overdue. I quickly learned the process of purchasing your first home can be very frustrating and stressful. However, if you survive the home buying process the reward is priceless once you move into your “American Dream.”…

On February 26th, 2003 yet another girl joined the rest of the 7 billion individuals who inhabit the outer crust of a rather large sphere. She was given the name Ella Grace, she was not named for a grandmother or a Historical figure, but for the fact that her mother favored the arrangement of words for its beauty. Ella Grace, unsurprisingly, is yours truly. After I was able to be out-and-about in the world, I was brought to my initial home by my mother and father. Four years I spent living blithely and harmoniously with my parents and roommate, who was a stuffed animal, but I believe he still counts. Alas, all good must come to an end, or at least I'm told they must, for my parents split like a banana, and traveled to their respected cities…

Most people rely on the security and care of others to provide for their loved ones when they put them in a nursing home. What they don’t realize is how much neglect goes on to the people they care most about. Residents are at risk of being abused by their caretakers but they are also at risk of being restrained, which may lead to a form of abuse. At Southwestern Nursing Home I have witnessed forms of neglect and abuse. Nursing homes are meant to be a place for security for the elderly to be cared for in their golden years, and it has become an unpleasant experience for senior citizens being subjected to acts of abuse and neglect.…

My name is Bryan Smith and my story begins back in the year 2007 when I joined the military during my junior year of high school. Since then life hasn’t been the same. First off you need to know growing up for me was never easy. My mother never believed that medically there could be anything wrong with me and if there was, I must have made it up. Anyway, on one miserable day in late 2009, things changed in a devastating way when I was diagnosed with what’s called Scheuermann’s kyphosis disease. Going for my undergraduate degree was a tough and long road. I knew at some point if I wanted to advance in my job, I would have to go back to school to get my undergraduate degree. In the beginning I knew I wanted to become a CPA. After going to the Community College and receiving my associates in Accounting, I decided that becoming a CPA was not for me. I took some time off and went about life. It wasn’t until years later I returned to school. At the time I didn’t know what I wanted to do, I just knew that I didn’t want a degree in Accounting.…

During my senior year of high school I decided to join the school's newspaper staff. I had no prior experience, but I was quick to volunteer and cover big local events. After a year of writing all genres (sports, opinions, news, features), I received my biggest accomplishment: first place in Sports Writing, in the West Virginia Journalism Competition. Without dedication and determination, I would have never been able to win that award. There were many times the work was difficult, but I realized how important my role was on the newspaper staff and made sure to never let down the staff (any time a member of the staff was missing from class, it made it difficult for the entire…

Sight being one of the most important senses a person has and one of the strongest form of communication that a person will probably use. So, it’s no wonder that a person will judge another person within the first thirty seconds of laying eyes upon them. Unfortunately, being judged by your appearance is by no means an effective way of determining what a person is like on the inside. Although, almost everyone will be judge like this daily by people they encounter throughout the day. It’s amazing how more times than not, it is a negative judging and not something positive about a person. Everyone should remember the old proverbial saying, never judge a book by its cover, never judge another person by their appearance. Because it isn’t a reliable criterion for assessing the quality of a person’s character that lies within them. Unfortunately, everyday people are wrongly judged because they are judged by the first impression someone has formed based on their appearance.…

My school life began rather early, that is why I wasn’t prepared for the majority of the tasks I was to accomplish and it took me a while to accommodate to the circumstances but nevertheless I was capable to accept the rules I had to follow and I possessed enough of the discipline and diligence even in childhood which helped me to become one of the best in the class. The same characteristics of my personality gave me opportunity to receive the Silver medal for the excellent grades upon finishing the school as well as obtaining the second place in the city Olympiad in literature, that still makes me sorry as didn’t manage to get the first one mostly due to particular carelessness in writing of compositions, and surely entering to the university.…

Besides the college academics I was actively involved in the extra-curricular activities. The driving force behind all this was my aim to develop all the facets of my personality. In this process I could not achieve the grades I wanted to, in the first and second year. But soon I garnered the skill of judicious allocation of time and energy. I do not feel that the marks I scored are the sole indicators of my understanding of the subject. A cogent reason to augment my belief is the final year of my studies, where with strong focus and hard work, I excelled in my graduation with distinction. Considering my excellent record, my college offered me for a job as a lecturer.…
