Accountancy, or accounting, is the process of communicating financial information about a business entity to users such as shareholders and managers. The communication is generally in the form of financial statements that show in money terms the economic resources under the control of management; the art lies in selecting the information that is relevant to the user and is reliable. The principles of accountancy are applied to business entities in three divisions of practical art, named accounting, bookkeeping, and auditing.

Accounting has been called the language of business and is used in many different situations. Cost accounting is used to streamline manufacturing operations. Managerial accounting is used to compile data necessary for sound management decisions. Financial accounting is used to report the financial result of a company's operations. To do this, the accounting department uses financial accounting techniques to create an income statement. The income statement is also called the profit and loss statement. As the name indicates, this reports whether the company had a profit or a loss over a given period of time. Public companies report and publish their income statements with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Private companies perform the same procedures but they do not publish the outcome.
Balance Sheet * Financial accounting is also used to determine a company's financial position for a specific period in time. This process is repeated monthly, quarterly and annually. The accounting department creates a balance sheet, which provides the financial position of the company at a given time. The balance sheet

    * #5 Adrenaline Rush: As a law enforcement officer you’ll probably saves someone’s life every day you come to work. An officer may have to make a life or death discussion in a split second. They could also save someone from potential harm when they issue traffic tickets or responding to domestic violence calls. This would be an extreme rush for me since officers are in a high risk job at all times. I understand the risk and wiliness to put myself out there for others and having only a spilt second to react. This is very similar to my position as quarterback on the football field, which I have enjoyed since I younger, and have handled it well. In this position you are a leader and a role model for community. Which I believe will transition over to me becoming an officer.…

A minority was any person who was not a white male. It mainly affected their education and job opportunities and say they had in the government. However in 1964, the United States passed civil rights laws. It was called the Civil Rights Act. The act banned discrimination based on a person's color, sex, national origin, and race. It mainly protected the rights of African Americans and other minorities. The Civil Rights Act said minorities have the right to vote, use hotels, restaurants, movies, parks, and any other public place. The law also said that public schools had to be desegregated. Also funds from programs the promoted segregation were taken away. The act also included the prohibition of job discrimination and the creation of the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission. The equal employments opportunities commission was a great step in ending discrimination. What it did were ban employers from discriminating against someone for any reason. Even though the Civil Rights Act was put into place a problem still remained. This problem was minorities lacked skill and proper education to do jobs which would put them on the same playing field as whites. So President Kennedy came up with Affirmative Action.…
