The statement of “your name represents your personality” means it’s who you are, your name is like a permanent name tag made especially just for you. Names can be changed effortlessly nowadays, people would change it because they don’t like the sound of it or other reasons, but the name also represents someone's identity and identity is unique. There is only one of you and your name represents it. Neglecting your given name is roughly the same as being a whole new person.
