NURS 436 Family Health Promotion Analysis
After the completion of all the units in NURS 436 Family Health Promotion I would explain this course to my colleagues by stating that this course has given me a new perspective on the importance of family involvement when caring for my patients. From the family nursing assessment models applied to my current nursing practice in caring for my patients and their families, I have seen firsthand how important it is to consider the needs and strengths of the patient and their family, however they choose to define their family group. Looking at the patient and families through this sharper lens gives me a clearer understanding of the complexity of family relationships and how these impact a patient’s health care during times of transition.
