My Worst Birthday

I was turning fifteen and I was so excited and looking forward to my birthday. A day before my mom had gone to the equestrian center and we were supposed to horse back ride on my birthday then get lunch and stop by Disney to meet this head who is my moms friend. Then we were supposed to have dinner. When I woke up it was quite and nice and there was balloons and cards. She said happy birthday and I opened up my cards. I didn't have any presents but I didn't expect them. She then tells me my sister has to join us on our horse back ride trip which I've been wanting to do with my mom for months now. I told her I didn't want her to come she can do something else with us. ( me and my sis dont have a good relationship). My mom made me feel bad and said she was excited so I said it was ok but I let her know I didnt think it was fair she was joining our thing that ive wanted to do for so long. She then tells me im a brat and I'm being ignorant and all this stuff. So I go in my room and I start to tear up cause this is my birthday! She then didn't talk to me all day till three. I did nothing for five hours and no other family came to wish me a B-Day . She then finally took me to Starbucks and we came straight back home. Then she cancels the horseback ridding cause she's "to tired." I was devastated. She then cancels dinner and tells me she cant do it. I was devastated. My sister then came over and forced us to go to this crapy cafe were I at least got a slice of cake that no one bothered to get me in the first place. They then were about to eat it were I stood my ground and told them "What the h*** ? this is my birthday don't I get the first bite?" Then they didn't even sing me happy birthday the whole day. I didn't blow out candles or anything. It was the worst birthday I have ever experienced I don't know why no one cared to fulfill their promises or at least make the basic efforts you do for your child on their birthday.

So we got in the car, then she said she left the keys in the house, I went in the house to get the keys and to my surprise I heard the car start, I figured she had found the keys and walked back outside to get in the car and it was gone. The only trace left was the smoke in the air as she peeled rubber down the road. That is just an example of her most recent act.…

My mom never screamed at me before and when she screamed he blamed me for letting him go outside without his permission. One sunny day, we were remodeling the living room so it can be more babyproof now that my brother was taller and could walk and run perfectly. We left the door open because it was too cold in the living room. We were moving the couch as we told Andres to move over so we don’t locate the couch on his feet. We were so busy moving the furniture that we totally forgot the baby of the family was walking towards the door. When we put the couch in our desired spot, we noticed Andres walking toward the street. We ran after him as quickly as we could as we saw a car moving in Andres’s direction. My dad sprinted like a track and field athlete towards his baby and caught him right in time. All of a sudden, my mom turned to me and blamed me for this incident. I felt like my side of the story wasn’t considered when I explained she told me to help her with the couch and it was really Andres’s fault. She couldn’t believe I was blaming a baby so she sent me to my room. I ran to my room crying, feeling as if Andres was the favorite child and I wished that I never had a…

As a young child I almost never heard my mother raise her voice to my father. They have been married for over twenty years now and I would consider all of them to be happy. She had gone to college to become a journalist and that's where she met my father. The two fell in love and got married before graduation. I suppose priorities or even interest changed because she never became a journalist. Selfishly, I'm glad she didn't as I have had her full attention since I was born. A couple years ago I was making my way home from school and I could hear a commotion coming from inside of the house. I dropped my things and I ran inside to find my mother crying and raising her fist at my father. Her eyes were filled with tears and her voice strained with anger. Silence fell on the room when they both saw that I was now present. My first instinct was to go to my dad and defend him, being as she was the one that appeared to be the aggressor. My mother just fell to the floor and wept. My father then instructed me to go to my room and they would talk to me at dinner. Of course I insisted on staying but I was directed once again to give them their privacy. An hour or so later I was called to dinner and it was then that I was filled in on what had been happening in our home. My father had been seeing another women for the past six months and my mother had just learned about this earlier today. You can imagine how embarassed I was to have defended him in the same room only a few short hours prior.…

She always wanted me to stay with her at her house and I went everywhere with her. When I was nine she took me to a circus. I had the privilege of riding an elephant while I was there. At first I was terrified, but once I finally boarded the elephant I lost all fear and realized that it was not necessary to be scared at all. After the ride was finished, we entered the arena and enjoyed the rest of the show. However, one day my mom woulkd not let me stay with her anymore. I was not even allowed to speak to her until I was older. My mom later told me the reason why she would not let me see her. My Aunt Lorena had a son who was the same age of me. He passed away when he was four years old because of a rare kidney disease. We were extremely close to one another that we were like brothers. Since we were so close and we were the same age my Aunt Lorena tried to steal me from my…

A certified nursing assistant (CNA) is not the same as a medical assistant. The occupations both involve working with patients and collaborating with nurses and physicians in medical settings, but a CNA has much more specific duties. CNAs aid nurses by doing patient prep work, such as taking temperature or blood pressure, feeding and bathing patients, and filling the role of a general caregiver for patients who may not need constant medical attention, but do need assistance with personal maintenance in between medical procedures. CNAs and medical assistants may work in similar settings and perform similar tasks even if their level of education and their requirements for licensure or certification are different. A crucial difference between the two is that CNAs tend to provide bedside care to senescent patients, where medical assistants assist more with procedural or administrative preparation and housekeeping.…

It was early in the morning, in the middle of getting ready for school my mom yelled to my sister and me.”I have a surprise”. We rushed to the kitchen thinking what it would be. Once my sister and I got there, there was a cardboard box, we opened it and there was a note and it said that we are going to Disney World. I was shocked and thought it was a prank, but my sister just thought of airplanes, which she is scared of because it would be her first flight. Finally, the day came. I was really excited. But as soon as my parents got into the picture, the excitement changed into irritation and anger. I had always been a very overprotective child of my parents, which really bothered me a lot because most of the time I did not get to do things that other teenagers did. So, when they got to know about our plans for the evening, they really objected it. They kept on saying that it was not safe to go out late night especially for girls and it could get really dangerous and we could get into trouble. They were trying their best to stop me from going out but at that time, I did not listen to any thing they had to say. The reason for it was that I had enough of the restrictions that were made on me. I was tired of being overprotected. I wanted to do what I felt like doing and not what my parents told me to do. Besides it was New Years Eve and it was not like I was the only person who was going to be partying out, everybody party's out on New Years Eve. Nevertheless, after listening to the fact that I will be grounded for a month, I banged the door and left my…

My mother wanted to give me the birthday of my dreams and that is exactly what she did. She told me that for this birthday I was not going to be able to have a huge party like I had wanted, so I threw a fit. I started to yell and scream and cry until my mom calmed me down. She told me that birthdays do not have to be extravagant in order for it to be a birthday, but as long as you have your family surrounded by you be fine. When my party came I walked into my back yard and saw that all of my family was there and everything I had wanted was too, I was so overjoyed my mom couldn’t contain me. I ran up to her and gave her the biggest hug ever, she told " Happy birthday sweetie! I love you."…

When I get home from school, my parents are all dressed up. It looks like they're going to a wedding so I ask, what's the need for the nice outfits? And they reply by saying they're going on a date and have a babysitter coming to watch over me. I didn't really like that I had to be home with a babysitter because I am already 12, but I didn't complain because I knew they don't want to have to cancel all because I'm having a fit. About 30 minutes after they leave I see the babysitter pick up the phone and start crying.…
