My Summer Adventures
This summer I didn’t really have much to do other than work, I had three jobs and it wasn’t the funniest thing, but I earned a lot of money. In addition, I spent some time coming to school in the after noons and working out. However, this summer not like my other summers I had some new experiences and memories the make me smile.
First, summer is hot and with that brings the fact that people never go out nor feel like doing anything. In addition, three jobs made it even more impossible for me to go out and had ass much free time ass possible. However, the times I had the opportunity of having fun it wouldn’t go to waste I would make it count for the books. This summer I hade three jobs one of them was working ass a pizza maker in Straw Hat Pizza. Then I would work as a field worker in the watermelon, the best thing off this were all the new people that I meet during the time I worked. Next, I had another job as a waiters of a Mexican restaurant. This were the jobs that I had over the summer, something I know is that if it wouldn’t of been for this jobs I wouldn’t be as happy and proud of my self. My experiences thought me a lot of values about life and one of them was hard work. Another activity I did over the summer was going to the lake to swim and chill with my friends, this was pretty fun to do. I also stayed home watch TV and eat some snacks because I was too tired to do something. Last, I went to other towns to hang out with my old friends. Finally, yeah this summer wasn’t what I expected or want I wanted to do but it was a good summer were I made money and relaxed enough to get ready for school. It was also a short summer were I wish I could of done a lot more. Last, I’m happy because I meet new people and saw old

In the direct, later on, indignant article “Endless Summer”, Rick Bragg reveals the transition from childhood to adulthood by using figurative language throughout the article. Bragg portrays that time last forever and summer is the same way. Summer feels so long to a child because they spend countless hours playing in the pool and staying out till dark. They wake up and repeat the same routine the following day. To Bragg, the transformation to an adult is very grim; because it means more responsibility. Jobs have priority and take up more time, leaving little to no free time to do the enjoyable things. Nevertheless, summertime as a kid is entertaining, but the memories will have to do because as adults, jobs take priorities in life.…

I didn’t really do much over the summer. We went to Indiana beach, and I am not too fond of roller coasters, or any ride for that matter, except for at water parks. Last year in 7th grade we went to Washington D.C and saw the washington monument, lincoln memorial, we went inside the Capitol building, The Changing of the Guard at Arlington cemetery, saw The White House. That didn’t really interest me, I don’t even have any souvenirs! Even earlier in the year, we went to Buffalo, New York. We saw a football game (the team we were rooting for lost,(TO THE JETS!) and we got to see Niagara Falls.…

At first it seemed as if my summer was never going to end. I was spending up to eight hours a day learning material. I had made friends around my grandparents neighborhood, which made my time miserable. Not to mention they lived next to a beautiful park. My parents were insistent on me spending my time with my books, which ultimately payed off in the end. At the end of summer I was reading two…

Did you know that Venus’ average surface temperature is 462 degrees celsius! This is one of the many reasons why I think that Ray Bradbury’s - “All Summer in a Day” setting isn’t possible. Venus is a different planet from earth. It has constant rain, and has wildly different surface temperatures. The mass of the planet is much greater than of Earth’s. These different circumstances on Venus, are very hard for humans to adapt to coming from Earth. Since the atmospheric pressure is 92 times greater than earth, Venus is the hottest planet in our solar system, and Venus’ atmosphere is made up of Carbon Dioxide, I believe that we won’t be able to colonize on Venus, as shown in the setting of “All Summer in a Day” by Ray Bradbury.…

The best thing about my summer was obviously when my baby sister Ava was born! Which was July 30th and 7:43 pm. It feels like just yesterday I was finding out I was going to be a big sister. One of my favorite activities is being outdoors, such as, hunting, fishing, or just riding in the boat. Bursting through the front doors of the school I stride out into the summer sun. The last day of school is cloudless and the sun shines brightly, warming my face and long chestnut hair blowing in the slight summer breeze. The breeze is chilly and the weather isn’t quite hot enough to feel like a real summer but that’s Seattle for you. Turning my new IPod to one of my favorite songs I start toward home, excited. For this is not just any last day of school, this is the last day of my junior year of high school. I am now officially, a senior. I had been dreaming about this summer for so long and I am determined to make it the best one of my life. I start sprinting home grinning till it hurts with Rabbit’s song “It’s Love” blaring…

It was a 3-day weekend or someday in my senior year of high school that I was able to persuade my mother to let me go to Irvine Spectrum with friends on a Friday afternoon. This was the last couple times that I could hang-out with my high school friends before we walked our way to the graduation; we better did something fun! However, there was really nothing, yes, nothing,…

Over this past year I worked two jobs; one of them involved me working as an inventory manager in a local store's office. Every weekend I would go up to the store in the afternoon to log invoices, which would mostly entail sitting in front of a computer screen entering inventory data into the database. Although the work seemed pointless and menial, the experience of working an office job was worthwhile. For my second job, I worked as a painter for my childhood friend's grandfather. Every weekend I, along with a couple friends, would paint and repair the outside of houses that needed to be redone. The work was physically demanding, and the hours were long, but I truly enjoyed working as a painter. I loved painting because I felt that I gained experience in home maintenance that will benefit me later in my life. Working outdoors was an experience that exposed me to manual labor while forming a sense of brotherhood with some of my closest friends. While the jobs I've been paid for were worthwhile and meaningful to me, my most favorite work didn't even involve payment; I was…

The younger me loved to be active and constantly moving around but as i grew up I started to enjoy times that were quiet as well. The few activites i liked to do and still do now is play soccer, go bowling, read, and going for bike rides. As a little kid and teenager, my cousins and I use to do a bowling day which was very intense since we are all competitive. I never and still don`t ever win because I suck at bowling but it's always a fun day seeing some of my cousins for some friendly composition and to see who will hold bragging rights. Also, when i was a kid my mom and I use to go for bike rides on the trail into erin to get ice cream from baileys ice cream shop. I it was always worse biking back rather than there because I always thought about the ice cream but on the way back there was no ice cream to look forward to.…
