My story

Once in a kingdom that no one really cared about or knew about there lived a king and queen King Midas and Queen Latifa who were happy celebrating their kingdoms holiday. This holiday was a peace time holiday to celebrate their kingdoms freedom and wealth that they had. Meanwhile in a galaxy not so far away two scientists Pinhead and Pedro of a random distant planet had discovered a technology to jump time and space so they could travel to any planet they wanted and were looking for a happy planet to conquer to celebrate this achievement. These scientists were rewarded with a planet each along with a shampoo named after them and the power to lead this joyous attack of celebration. Little known fact about the people in the kingdom no one really cares about is that they really hadn’t faced war, violent disagreement, or quarrel with anyone therefore they didn’t have a need for weapons or soldiers. A few years went on while the Planetarians were still on their long search for a planet to conquer and had no luck and once again the peace holiday had come to the kingdom. Finally the people on the Planet with their strong microscopes spotted the lights and the happy people of the planet celebrating and decided they were the perfect victims to use their new technology to warp to and conquer so they started setting up a attack plan to conquer the poor victims. The kingdom obliviously celebrated their holiday so unaware of the plot by the Planetarians. Months passed as plans were plotted and while nothing was set into motion and the people of the kingdom lived their same boring happy lives without much knowledge about anything. Meanwhile the people of the planet were getting impatient with the time it was taking to plot this attack overthrew the supreme ruler of nothing and sped up the attack without the middle man and such

Amy Chua’s thesis in Day of Empire is that the biggest contributing factor of the demise of hyperpowers throughout history is the loss of tolerance by the ruling entity. She believes that when the hyperpowers begin to decline they begin to blame everything on the outsiders. Sometimes this is caused by a regime change or a ruler’s search for a scapegoat. Her theory states that this intolerance causes social unrest and rebellion by the oppressed groups.…

Back in the days of ancient Greece, there was a lovely island kingdom called Kypaen. On one half of the island there was the civilized life; the palace, the estates, fields, harbors, and all the people that lived there. On the other half of the island there was a dense wilderness where dangerous beasts roamed, and trees grew so thick that they blocked out the light. In the civilized half of the island there lived the King’s right hand man, a wealthy one indeed. When it was time for his wife to give birth, she brought forth two tiny twin girls: Aischuné and Tellopia. The two girls grew and played in a home almost as exquisite as the King’s, until one day when they were both very young. Aischuné had broken a vase that their father cherished.…

I look out my room window and see the rising sun. The brilliant red globe sheds its light on the earth, and illuminates the myriad of fresh green leaves that have emerged in the wake of spring. I open my window, through which a light breeze, the same wind that is ruffling the very leaves, enter. The scene is perhaps an epitome of peace. It is quite surprising to think that this is the same place that is under a threat of an ever-potential war. Just a few weeks ago our northern neighbor initiated an attempt to launch a rocket into the air - an attempt that, despite its drastic failure, nonetheless created an atmosphere of great tension.…
