Do you remember the day of your high school graduation? When everyone stood outside in their caps and gowns, and the proud feeling filling in the air. I remember the day I graduated very well because it’s my favorite moment in my life. My favorite photo of my friend and I is framed next to my diploma that sits on my desk. Whenever I see that photo I’m reminded of the emotions I felt: happy, proud, and relaxed.…
I want to thank Principal McCormack for inviting me to give this graduation speech, a speech which I feel certain will inspire today's graduating seniors for the rest of their lives, as graduation speeches invariably do, as we have just…
In high school everybody had looked forward to their graduation day. I was very excited to graduate from high school. When I started school I did not have any idea how I was going to graduate, but I knew that I was able to accomplish anything that I had set my mind to. It takes all of our time and effort to achieve a goal like that. It opens a lot of adventures and opportunities for people to succeed in the world. I was determined to work hard be dedicated to my work, and make some very wise decisions that helped me to accomplish my graduation goal. Still graduation is the end of high school and the beginning of a whole new life.…
This was very exciting to me because not only was this held outside, but because I knew that for one of those awards my name was going to be called. To me, things like this helps to encourage and motivate students to always do their best and strive for excellence. Acknowledging students’ hard work and dedication is what we sometimes need to know that it’s not all for nothing. What we do is really appreciated. Even though school was fun and exciting, there were times when I enjoyed being away from school. In elementary, we took many exciting field trips. From theme parks to zoos to museums, we went. This was another very exciting moment for me because growing up with my grandparents I never experienced those things outside of school. So they made sure that when a field trip came up, I attended. Then tragedy hit. My grandmother, the woman who raised me from a baby had passed away. I felt as though I had lost my mother. My backbone was gone and a piece of me left with her. I still had my grandfather so I continued to press forward. I have always been an academically bright…
“Graduation, the hush-hush magic time of frills and gifts and congratulations and diplomas.” You weren’t lying when you said that Maya Angelou. May 19th, 2013 I had dreamt of that day for almost four years. I know I can’t be the only person who feel this way. I remember it as if it was just yesterday. So many different emotions going through my mind all at once. Happiness, Sadness, I felt relieved because it was almost over but at the same time I felt anxious and overly excited to just leave and go far away. 389 seniors were going to walk across the stage and receive their diplomas. After all, our class had the biggest percentage of graduates who were actually…
A good speech for an elementary graduation would depend on who is going to be doing the speaking. For a teacher, you'll want to make sure you thank the students for all of their hard work and wish them the best in the next grade they move up to. For kids, they can thank their teacher for a good year and thank their parents for their support. This page contains a funny sample speech for Middle School or Elementary School graduations for principles, teachers or other key note speakers. The speech template can be customized for graduations from preschool, 8th Grade, Junior High School, clubs, high school or other graduation events as well. This speech is humorous but also talks about dedication and personal commitment. We hope this graduation speech for keynote or guest speakers is helpful.…
It was a chilly August morning. Filled with excitement and wonder, I woke up from my slumber and got ready for school. Today was my first day of Sophomore year. I was no stranger to the curriculum, and I was familiar with most of my teachers. I already had a set friend group, surely, no problems would arise. I did my usual morning routine and got into my car. Driving along Main Street, my mom talked about how much I needed. She said I needed to improve this year, to try and do better than last year. We arrived to the front of the school, and I said my goodbyes. Walking into the school, I was greeted by numerous teachers as well as my classmates, I sat down in the main dining hall and waited for my first class to start.…
Everyone in my graduate class of twelve was very excited on our last day of grade six. This was supposed to be the best day of our seven years in school. This was the day of our famed graduation assembly. All of our parents were there along with all the teachers and students from the other grades. The assembly was supposed to consist of the teacher's giving their congratulatory speeches and us, getting our care packages for the big school, Lake Trail Junior High. The day was a big disappointment. The assembly was slow and uneventful. The speeches were heartfelt but lame. As for the care packages, they consisted of a ferry schedule, a bus schedule and a few little trinkets for our lockers. Was this some kind of joke? If you grow up on a gulf island, you know the ferry schedule off by heart and who is going to use a bus when they are eleven years old? Despite all the dissatisfactions of the day, I was still bubbling with joy because I had had a great year. I had had my first non truth-or-dare kiss, had a lengthening growth spurt and had the first taste of one of my dad's beers. So at age eleven I thought I was well on my way to becoming a man. I was also excited about the end of a school year a good summer and a new start…
So this was my first day school and I am very pleased in recalling that day.…
Finally senior year came around, we were all happy to be seniors. Early in the year there was a fellow classmate who died from a car accident. This left the senior class in tears, for he could no longer graduate with us and remember that day for the rest of his life. But along with every one of us he will be graduating, because our memories of him as a class can never be forgotten.…
The time came for all the graduates to line up and start heading on stage to begin the ceremony. The walk to the podium seemed to take forever, as if we were waiting in line at Cedar Point. I just wanted to get my college degree, and get the day over with, but we had to wait for the band to start playing as well as the Valedictorians and Salutatorians to begin. I was excited and scared at the same time because I knew that once I walked across that stage everything would be different. The sound of the cheering, the stately music, the solemn atmosphere, and the joy of the students all play a part in creating this spectacle.…
Every person has a moment or a few memories which he remembers through out his life . The joy of that moment is so over whelming, many…
The weeks leading up to graduation felt as if they could not go any slower. There was so much anticipation building up in all of the seniors, it seemed as if graduation was all that anyone could talk about. I remember sitting in English class with my friends and listening to our principal Mr. Lowery over the intercom “Class of 2011,” he began “It has been a long road for you guys but you have almost made it!” Listening to him speak reassured me that it was really happening, the moment was finally coming. It had seemed like yesterday I started Temecula Valley High School, getting lost looking for classes, trying to make new friends, and asking people for help. Finally, here it was, the day before graduation had come, Senior check out day. I woke up that morning and said to my self “This is the last day as a senior in high school.” I was pretty excited. Lunch time came at school and all the seniors rushed to the stadium to pick up their caps and gowns and attend graduation practice. Everyone was so excited that it was nearly impossible to keep any of us under control. After hours of practicing the line up for graduation we had finally mastered it and were sent home. On the way home that night all that was running through my mind was.... this is the end of a brand new beginning.…
At that moment, I was anticipating how I was going to walk across the stage without falling down in my heels. As the people were calling the people in the front row, my heart starting pounding. In my head, I was thinking, ‘Wow, this is really happening; I am really about to walk across this long stage and receive my high school diploma.” When they finally called my name, I could hear my mother and my aunt screaming in the background. They were overly excited for me. I could hear my cousin screaming as well. She was saying, ‘Yasss, Atinuke, my baby did it”. As I was taking my long stride across the stage, I pictured my high school career, the friends I made along the way and the ones I lost due to them not rising to my level of academic success. All my thoughts came to a sudden halt when I had to take a picture with the principal of my school. From there, my thoughts continued to my experience attending prom, to some of my accomplishments throughout high school. As my stride came to an end, I shed one tear in realization that high school was over and my own journey was beginning form this day forward. As everyone was in his/her seats, the principal went to the podium. He announced the graduating Class of 2014 of Eleanor Roosevelt High School. After saying that, some of my peers decided to throw their caps in the air. In my mind, I really wanted to, but I was afraid of the aftermath of…
This year 20th February was my last day at school. The school bell range as usual. The 10th class boys were sad in outlook. After the first period the teachers and the students of high classes met in the school hall. The Principal and teachers sat in chairs. We, the students took out seats on dual desk.…
