My Plans for the Last Seven Days of My Life
Isabella Terry English Com 101
13 June 2011 My Plans for the Last Seven Days of My Life I would be devastated to know I only have one week to live on this Earth. I have a lot of goals set up; they have not been accomplished yet. I would feel like I failed in life, and this would depress me. On the other hand, I would not let the fear of dying in a week’s time deter me from accomplishing one of my dreams, and getting some plans in motion. If I only have had one week to live, the initial thing I would do after the shock of the news wears off is to contact a lawyer and have him prepare a will for me. A will is a legal document that would set forth how my assets would be distributed, and how my children would be taken care of. This would give me a peace of mind knowing that my family would not be fighting over my assets in my absence. It would also ensure that my children would be cared for. Their future is very important to me, so I would make sure they have enough money for their education. I believe education is the key to “success,” for without it one cannot advance in life. After I get the will drawn, I would spend time to write letters to people that I have offended to apologize and ask for their forgiveness. Forgiveness heals the soul, and it makes one feel better knowing someone does not bear a grudge against them. I would make amends for any wrong deed or disagreement that had happened between us. I would go out and visit relatives who I have not seen for a while and have a family reunion. I would hug and kiss every one knowing I will not see them again. Now it is time for me to accomplish one of my dreams after I made my peace with people and visited relatives. I would take a trip to Dubai. Dubai is a country located south of the Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula. I have heard a lot about this great country and I have always wanted to take a trip there and see the magnificent buildings and

If you knew you were to die tomorrow, what would be the chance you wished you had taken? Or the moments you let slip away? Would you be happy? Would you be sad? Or would you die at peace knowing that you lived life to the fullest potential? The biggest regret that people have on their deathbed is that they lived the life expected of them instead of a life true to themselves. We need to fulfill the journey this life grants us without being close to the end of life and regretting not doing the things that we should’ve or could’ve done.…

I would not be able to bare the news of living for a remaining time of 365 days. First, I would announce it to my family members and loved ones. We would then plan out our days so we can spend as much time together. I would announce it only to my family so they can prepare themselves for what is coming, my death. I would leave bank accounts for both of my nephews so they could afford to attend a school of their choice. I would purchase a mansion for my mother in the Dominican Republic so she could quit her job and live happily with a monthly allowance. I would buy a flight for my father and I to Cuba so we can both travel back to his home country together. My father would then demonstrate where he used to live when he resided there. We would…

I would have those big dinners every night for the rest of the month. And like McGraw mentions in his song, I will treat everybody who crosses my path with kindness and forgive all those who I have held grudges against but most importantly, I would forgive myself for all the harm I have done to myself like putting myself down for all that didn't go my way. To others, my plan may seem boring but to me, I’d love to leave Earth on a good note with everyone who meant a great deal to me. I made mistakes in the past that I wish I could take back therefore, for the next thirty days, I would love to make up for all the damage I have caused. Maybe I would learn that treating people with love wasn't so hard and infact made me a happier person thus allowing to make peace with myself and…

Losing a loved one is like having the rug swept from under you. We make plans for the day, and do not think twice about how those plans can be taken away in the blink of an eye. I never thought much about it myself, until I was faced with the shock, and undeniable truth of my uncle’s death. I do not think anyone really thinks about tragedy until they are actually faced with shocking news. It is amazing how we take life for granted. The tragedy never goes away. You just learn how to cope with it and keep moving on.…

I never experienced death first-hand, nor has death happened abruptly in our immediate family but I have seen the damage that it leaves on people. Nothing is guaranteed, except that we will all eventually die and it is a scary thought for many people. Somehow, the fact that we unfortunately can’t avoid death makes us all want to avoid it even more. Although, once you find the courage to acknowledge it death will become real, and then all you have to do is deal with the emotions that comes with it. Some people may feel that they can avoid it but you can’t pretend that death has never happened because that person is really gone. I will discuss a few instances where I had to cope with losing some things close to my heart. Although it is a terrible feeling, I can honestly say that I learned a great deal from each circumstance.…

I would consider this question not completely answered until my time here on earth is complete. Especially given the circumstances of my life at this moment, I'd have to say that if I were to die tomorrow, I would not be satisfied or serene with how things turned out. So let’s pray I have some time to reflect on my past mistakes, learn from them, and try to use them constructively in helping others so they don’t have to go through what I have during my twenty four years of living.…
