My Philosophy of Early Childhood Education
My philosophy of Early childhood education is based on research that indicates that a child’s growth is developmental. Every child is unique in terms of life experiences, developmental readiness, and cultural heritage. A high quality early childhood program that provides a safe and nurturing environment, which promotes physical, social, emotional, language and cognitive development will ensure a positive continuation of the child’s education process
In my philosophy I will talk about the goals of teaching and ways to accomplish them. Also I will describe how I feel about public education, what kind of teacher is the best,how young children learn and develop,how best i plan to teach them and what school system works the best because of social skills and such. The overall purpose of education is teaching a student how to think. I want my students to learn how to think critically. To think is to comprehend what has been learned and be able to use it in a real situation. Thinking isn’t promoted when children are trained to be like parrots and repeat what they know without ever using that knowledge. Thinking also includes making thoughtful decisions. I want my students to realize how their actions and decisions affect themselves and others. This would be thinking about the moral value of their thoughts and actions.The purpose of education is to have the knowledge that will allow you to be successful and provide for your family. It is most important to start at a young age. That is when you learn the most. When you are young you can learn things without even trying it flows to you as if you had some weird power but it is just the fact that your brain has such a craving and is in a quest for all of the knowledge it can handle. As a teacher I hope to accomplish several things. First I want my students to be able to think. Secondly, I want to see that “ I got it “ look in a child’s eyes. Words can’t describe the feeling I get when I see that light switch go on, and a
