MY MUSIC
Music Essay

Music is a form of art. It tells a story, affects people mentally and physically; inspires many. No one tells how music should be. Music is a from a expresion. Where boundaries are unheard of.

As you were younger the words of a song meant nothing to you. All take matter was if it had a catchy beat you could move it. Once you started to grow up you started to understand what the songs meant. Not just the lyrics but how the artist put their own emotion in. “He knows that but he's broke He's so stagnant, he knows When he goes back to his mobile home, that's when it's Back to the lab again, yo.” Eminem tells his experiences in the way he knows best.

Music affects people mentally and physically for better. Maybe someone is in a bad place and music is their it help get through it. Need some motivation before a big game. I know when I did cross county I would listen to my “Kick Butt” playlist before every race, 3005- Childish Gambino, Roar- Katy Perry, I Wish- Cher Lloyd ft.T.I., my favorite Clarity-Zedd ft. Foxes, and more. Once you put those earbuds on, blast the volume in the car; turn the speakers up we get lost in our imagination.

Inspiration comes from music. “And everyone’s competing for a love they won't receive 'Cause what this palace wants is release.” Lorde has a way to put meaning into her lyrics that young people we can all relate to. We don’t have to be accepted by socially.”Whether you're broke or evergreen You're black, white, beige, chola descent You're Lebanese, you're orient Whether life's disabilities Left you outcast, bullied, or teased Rejoice and love yourself today 'cause baby you were born this way.” Lady Gaga’s songs are not only catchy, but she truly live by it. Not caring how unnaturally it is. You and I might not dare to be caught wearing might.

Music has no guidelines, no limits. It tells a story, affects people mentally and physically; inspires many. Music is a from a expresion. This the dawn of time it’s

What is music? The art of self-expression that goes beyond simple speech; the proper blending of sound waves to create optimal wave oscillation; the transcendent joy of collective individualism; the use of the notes c-c’ in structured order to build melody, harmony, counterpoint and tonality—perhaps music is something impossible to completely define and understand. Music manifests itself differently to each and every person, revealing rapturous joy, desperate love or grey death and helping humanity cope with the struggles and joys of life. Yet although no one would argue that music’s main focus is emotion, there is a system of interpretation by which music can be logically realized, quantified and rationalized: such a method is called music theory.…

Often in rap music the artist is describing points of their life or childhood that were notable to them. One prominent rap song “Juicy”, by Notorious B.I.G. is “Biggie’s ode to growing up in the ghetto. Alternating between his impoverished childhood and life at the top of the charts, Big creates a rags-to-riches narrative exemplifying the American Dream lived through Hip Hop.” Another example is Tinie Tempah’s “Written in the stars”, which also references his life as an impoverished young boy living in the ghetto. The is is evident in lines such as “Look I'm just a writer from the ghetto like Malory Blackman. Where the hells all the sanity at, damn I used to be the kid that no one cared about. That's why you have to keep screaming 'til they hear you out”. There are an abundance of rap songs that delve deep into the origins of the writer, often of the hardships they faced due to poverty and bad influence in their youth. These include being exposed to gangs, and gang related violence as well as drugs and alcohol at a young age. These very real references to their youth are central illustrations of how music mirrors…
