My Life In Woodburn: An Analysis
Would I want my own kids to one day grow up in my home town? Tough question, but I would have to do say yes to that since there isn't anywhere else where I would want to raise my kids in. Woodburn is a great place but people just have a negative perspective on it for reasons I’m unaware off. Anyways I say the city of Woodburn is a great place to raise kids in because it's not a big of a city nor nothing major really happens there. There are a couple of reasons why I would want this. My hometown has a school district where my kids could attend, it has public library where they can read books, kids for them be friends with and play with, friendly people, get to the know the city I grew up in, meet some of the people I grew up with, and overall …show more content…
From my experience I haven't experience any bad people around me so that's why I say there is friendly people. Since most grown people that live in Woodburn have kids of their own, it would make it easier for my kids to make friends with other kids because I would want my kids to be in a city where there's a lot of kids for them to be friends with. I feel that having friends play a big role in a kids childhood because all kids want someone to play with otherwise they'll feel lonely. I’m already eighteen years old and my childhood is basically gone and I have a good feeling that I had a great one because of all the friends I had along the way. Anyhow this is not the only reason why, another one would be because my hometown consists of …show more content…
Every parent wants this because they want their kids to see how they grew up. They would also want for their kids to meet the people they were around while growing up, like their friends. The reason why I would wants this is because I’ll be able to tell them stories about the place I grew up especially since we’ll be living in my hometown and then I can take them to the places I hung around during my childhood days. Meeting some of my old friends would also be good because then they could tell stories about when we were kids. After that's done will continue exploring on what I did as a kid. This would be great because it's making me feel stronger on me wanting for my own kids to one day grow in my

I grew up in a two small towns called Ruston, La and Grambling, La. I spent my childhood in Ruston and my teenage years in Grambling. The two towns are so small it's like 1 small town almost. I enjoyed my childhood there. It was a place where kids were free to run and play. Til this day it is still a place where kids can be free and mothers don't have to constantly fret about there child being kidnapped of the street. I remember being up the street outside playing jump rope, volley ball, kickball, football, softball, and basketball with all the neighborhood kids. When evening came and the sun went down I remember my mother standing in the yard calling my name for me to come home because it was getting late.…

Children need friendships to develop their interaction, emotional understanding, empathy and social skills. Children who lack these networks tend to feel isolated and therefore isolate themselves more. They may suffer insecurities about themselves and be withdrawn and shy. They may struggle to communicate, share and understand the needs and feelings of others. As they grow older the insecurities may lead to self-hatred and self-harm. They will lack people to confide in or go to for advice. They may find themselves drawn into ‘the wrong crowd’ because they seem welcoming, and as a result find themselves manipulated.…

This is not something I understood when I was younger. When friends from the neighborhood would come to the door to play I was very rude and would just say no and shut the door in their face. Always coming back the next day to see if that day would be different, would the weather have changed my mind? I was always very blunt, honest and uncensored with no one telling me it was wrong. I did not lose friends, but I did not have the closeness that others talk about with their best friends with the exception of one. Serena, my best friend from kindergarden through to today. We are still in touch thanks to the wonderful world of facebook. She was blessed not to see me very often when we were kids to know how bad it was, most of this was avoidence of my brother.…
