My Interest In The Veterinary Field
My interest in the veterinary field began when I was six, when I arbitrarily announced I was going to be a veterinarian simply because of my love for animals. Being young and naïve, I believed that watching National Geographic and Animal Planet would qualify me to be a veterinarian upon graduation from high school. When I realized the educational requirements involved, I was undeterred. Instead, I was motivated to take challenging science and math classes in high school, and to gain valuable hands-on experience. When old enough, I applied to local veterinarian clinics, and was ecstatic when hired.
