My GPA: My Most Outstanding Achievement
My most outstanding achievement is my GPA. I am very close to having a 4.0 GPA and I have worked extremely hard to get to where I am. School hasn't came easy to me, but it is something that I work very hard at. I love to learn knew things, and I don't have a photographic memory so I have to go home and study every night. I've taken college courses since my freshman year, and I've almost taken every class Wabash High School has to offer. Math is my worst subject, but I work very hard at it and I work for my grade in there. I selected this achievement because I feel as if it is the most important thing I have accomplished. Neither of my parents cared about school so they didn’t try, and therefore my brother had no motivation to try. He did finally

I went to St. Michael School from Kindergarten through Eighth grade, so when it came time to leave for high school, I was not excited for the change. St. Michael was especially small in regards to student population. We had just under three hundred students split between all nine grades. That left roughly twenty to thirty kids per class. I was extremely used too this small environment and not exactly looking forward to the terrors of high school towering over me nor the thought of being lost in the sea of students. Over the years I was extremely imbedded in my academics. I had straight A’s for my entire time at St. Michael. I received the academic achievement award at Eighth grade promotion for having the highest GPA in my class. Despite this, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to live up…

Education has always been one of the most important things to me, and I am dedicated to learn as much as humanly possible. Throughout my high school career I have challenged myself by completing six advanced placement classes and taking other honors classes. I have taken these classes as a way to help guide myself for what is to come in the future in college. I was inducted into the National Honors Society during my junior year of high school, and I graduated with honors. Both of these successes are the two greatest accomplishments of my high school career. These two achievements prove how dedicated I was, and still am, to getting the best education I could. My quality of dedication will stick with me throughout my future endeavors.…

There are many accomplishments in my life of which I am proud, however there are two for which I am especially proud. Those being, having the opportunity to play varsity shortstop in high school, and having good enough grades to be nominated for, and to be admitted into, the National Honor Society. These accomplishments make me proud because they are goals that I was able to set and accomplish for myself. These are successes that not everyone can say that they have achieved.…

The value I place on being successful in college is 9. My expectation of being a success in college is probably a 7 right now. Multiplied together, this gives me an achievement motivation score of 63. I want to be successful because I feel college is really the only significant next step towards bringing me to where I want to be. Unfortunately I rated my expectation of success so low because I lack the self-confidence to feel like I will be able to make it happen. I’ve failed so many times in the past and I fear that I…

An experience that makes me proud during my first year of school was failing. It was a wake-up call, a realization that I could overcome a difficult obstacle due to the mistakes I had made. Therefore, I dedicated all my time to make-up all the classes I received low grades in. I pushed myself to persevere and not become a high school drop-out; I refused to be labeled a failure. I worked twice as hard in the classes I had received low grades; so when I was taking them again I would pass with a better grade I would be satisfied with. I managed my time efficiently to give myself enough time for each class and receive help when I asked certain teachers who offered tutoring. I took advantage of all extra credit assignments when offered, I believed…

Only being in the 11th grade, there are not any groundbreaking achievements I have made so far. One accomplishment that still stands out to me is when I was the only freshman to be interviewed and picked to be Bio-Med officer. This still holds a special place because it was defeinly one of my proudest moments. I am not the smartest person, or the best. I make mistakes, but I always try my hardest and put passion into everything I do. I was competing against 25 other freshman, and I was able to be the only 9th grader picked. My comeption wad tough, and some of the most intelligent people were also competing for this position. This definetlyl made me realize that being the smartest person is not everything. There are several goals I have set for myself in college; I aspire to make the dean's-list in all the years I attend college, I anticipate participating in a minimum of two organizations which can get me more absorbed in the community, and finally, I want to become involved with the student body, and attend as many school sponsored events as I can. In my junior year, when I heard I made the honor roll at my high school, I was overcome with a feeling of fulfillment. This was the first time I had made the honor roll and with this achievement was a feeling of pride for the work I put in, and for the way the work reflected in my grades. But, I stayed hungry and kept working to maintain this honor, and I finished on the honor role for the entirety…

First and foremost, I do sincerely believe that a GPA does not define who a person is or their capability of such things. I believe that it is just a number that does not define any one's weaknesses or strengths. Throughout high school, I tried to maintain my grades at a certain level. I tried my hardest not to have any F’s, C’s, and I tried to minimize any B’s on my report card. In order for my grades to be maintained in the way I wish they were, I had to apply and utilize support I was offered for the classes I needed the most help in. An example would be when I missed the first two weeks of the school year. It was a hectic time because I had to put my one hundred and ten percent in everything to catch up on school work. Even though I am…
