My Favorite Place
On a hot summer day, the only place to go is the beach. I go to the beach to have fun with my family and friends.
For me the excitement starts the night before. Getting ready for the beach the night before consists of preparing all the food and drinks for the cooler, making sure the blanket and chairs are ready, and in the car. I then make sure everyone's bathing suits are out and ready to go, so when we wake up in the morning, there are no problems or complaints. In the morning after we finish breakfast, we pile into the car and head for the beach to enjoy the sure, the sun and the ocean. When we arrive the first thing I notice is the smell of the ocean, it smells of wet sand mixed with salty water and I almost feel like I can smell the sun. I know that sounds strange but it makes me smile from ear to ear. One of my favorite smells at the beach is the smell of sweet coconut suntan lotion, There is no other smell in the world that makes me feel joyful like I have no cares or worries in the world.
If you are looking for a quiet place, this is not place to for you. The beach is full of exciting and joyful noises. You can always hear kids of all ages enjoying themselves, swimming, playing sports, building sandcastles and laughing. You can hear the motors from the boats in the ocean, the planes with the banners up above, it is just so exciting, You can also hear the sounds of people on the boardwalk laughing, playing games and riding the rides. Ohh, and the smells are so mouthwatering form the french fries to the funnel cake, you taste buds go crazy.
There are always lots of fun activities to get involved in such as a great game of beach volleyball or flying a kite but if you preference an individual activity there is always fishing, if you don't mind touching worms or the slimy scales of the fish. You must be cautious of the waves and never turn you back on the ocean, because there is always a possibility a wave could knock you down and then you will be
