My Experience of Playing Sport
My experiences of playing a sport
Two years ago, I went to visit my relatives in Nha Trang and I tried playing scuba-diving. It was my wonderful experiences. First day, my cousin – a diving instructor of VietNam Dive Center (VinaDive) – invited me to take part in a scuba-diving tour. I thought it was a great idea and I was very interested. This was a chance of overcoming my fear of water. Next day, my cousin taught me about dive equipment, how to breathe and move underwater, basic skills and safe rules; everything made me feel comfortable and safe in the water. Two days later, we came to Mun island to dive. It is known as one of the most beautiful islands in Nha Trang. It has the high biodiversity of marine species and the exciting topography. At first, I was very worrying and nervous. I tried to not panic when we went down deeper and deeper. The deeper we went down, the faster my heart beat and I felt my ears hurt. Luckily for me, it was not long and I felt comfortable quickly. Then I explored underwater kingdom – it was like a totally different world. I saw some corals, most of them looked like giant mushrooms and I could touch it. I was very excited and amazed when I enjoyed different kind of fishes showing off their bodies on colorful coral reefs and swimming in front of me. I had unbelievable time in there and this was my unforgettable

Throughout high school, my life has been consumed by sports. Being a student athlete has made me become the person I am today. Ever since I was sixteen, I have also worked at a daycare in town, TASK. This has showed me how much little kids look up to student athletes. Working at TASK has also showed me how much these little kids want to grow up and be like us student athletes. Without sports and working at the daycare, I would not be the role model I am today. Since working at the daycare, I have realized I want to be the person little girls are talking about when they say, “I want to grow up and be just like her.” Being chosen team captain has made me into the leader I am. I have learned how to push my teammates…

To express his believe about stretching one’s limit, the great Guy Finley had once stated, “The limit of your present understanding is not the limit of your possibilities.” Inspired by his quote, I, Giang Pham, believe that I would be a valuable member of McGarvin’s Academic Pentathlon team. Based on my personal knowledge of Pentathlon, I have first-handedly experience the soul of a Pentathlete through various study sessions at Ethan Allen. Because of this, I have developed a deep insight of the components necessary to be a true Pentathlete. In addition to having first-hand experience, I also have extremely high expectations for both myself and other students, for it is essential in my academic growth. With this, one like myself could ultimately…

My life has revolved around soccer since I was four years old. My whole family was born into the sport and I’m so thankful that I have the support from my family and friends to continue to follow my dream in playing college soccer. I believe my life would not be the same without participating in the sport I love and playing with the people I grew up with. I wouldn’t have met half the people I know now. All my teammate’s families that treat me like their family would have been just imaginary. I wouldn’t have a second family to fall back on when I need. Soccer had made me for who I am. The reason I’m so competed and driven is because of the game. Soccer has helped me become a responsible hardworking young adult that doesn’t like to fail. My never-quit…

“Beep…beep…beep…” yelled my alarm notifying me that it was finally time for me to raise out of bed. Even though it was only six o’clock in the morning, my mood instantly brightened when I looked at my phone calendar and instinctively remembered that today was my final first volleyball game of the season. Quickly, I stumbled out of bed to go brush my teeth and begin getting ready for what would end up being my last day of playing volleyball.…

Growing up I love soccer, it was my favorite game. Nobody could really understand why I loved this sport seeing it was foreign in origin. What’s not foreign in origin? America have nothing that truly belong to them. Now that I am married my husband thinks soccer is the weakest form of sports known to man in history. I tried showed him in history where the Mayans, Aztecs and Inca all played ball games very similar to soccer as well as football and other modern day ball games.…

Quotes like this help me a lot when I’m playing soccer, especially during a soccer game. This quote is a perfect example of a soccer tournament that my soccer team and I had participated in. For this tournament, we went to Madison and the tournament was called Madison Rush Spring Classic 2015. In this tournament, there were two brackets and my team was in Bracket B. In my bracket, the teams were Croatian Eagles Red U12G (my team), Verona SC U13G, Monona Grove SC Cobras, and Rush McFarland U12.…

Many people may think that soccer is just a sport, but to me it means much more. I believe in the feeling I get when I dribble down the pitch, juke out a defender, and score the winning goal. It is such a rush to race down the pitch and send an amazing through pass to your teammate who scores the goal. Soccer has taught me many life lessons such as to always try your best, exercise is important, and to be respectful to everyone you play with or against.…

I was in 3rd grade and we were playing a game of soccer because we were in our soccer unit on thursday in the gym Ruby, one of my friends was kicking the ball down the gym floor, there was a big group near her, and I went to kick the ball from her to one of my teammates when I went and accidentally kicked her foot instead!! I was in so much pain I held my ankle gritting my teeth, “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” My head screamed, apparently her foot got hurt enough to the point because she told mr. salty (saltzgaber) and he said she was fine, the other team had scored the goal while me and ruby were just standing because both of our feet hurt but at least she could walk on her foot, then our soccer game was done it was time to go back to class.…

It was a very pleasant evening and I was at soccer practice at the South Barrington turf soccer fields. I loved to play soccer and I took it really seriously. Everything I do I go all out. There was no such thing as a second gear for me, I would always go 110 percent. When I was on the field, I could be looked at as a violent person and I would constantly get carded for rough play. During some of our matches I struck so much fear in my opponents they were afraid to guard me.…

My soccer career started as soon as I could walk, but somehow I still wasn’t very good at it at the age of 13. You'd assume ten years of practice and a sister who'd been the mvp of her high school team would have rubbed off on me, but that wasn’t the case. That is to say, I wasn't absolutely pitiful. I was pretty quick, and I could get a good foot on the ball about four times out of ten.…

While I was participating in the athletic training clinics, I had a very interesting, educative experience. There were many different parts that I enjoyed while engaging in the athletic training clinics. One of things I enjoyed about being in the clinics was being able to talk to the different athletic training students and preceptors; as well as, seeing them utilize their skills they had learned from their pervious classes and preceptors. It was also enriching to be able to watch a patient improve over time through the various techniques used such as stretching, taping, and exercising. Further, I saw many different injuries that consisted of both the upper and lower extremities of the body.…

I started playing club soccer when I was 7 years old, playing for under the wing of Charley Amblo. This was a training team only, it was not till I was nine that I was started playing for a travel team.
