My dream company
The company of my dreams
Lots of people find it hard to answer the question what do you want to do for a living. In addition, many dream that one day their hobby would constitute a big part of their occupation. I have always been good at languages and for me it is a pleasure to study one, not an obligation. But I believe that languages need to be practiced otherwise one will forget them. That is why I would like to work in a company where I need to speak many languages or at least one foreign. Also, I like different cultures and I think that working in a multinational company that has branches all over the world would be the most suitable place for me. Also, I consider myself a creative person, who likes dynamic and fast paced environment. That is the reason why being in the field of Marketing has always been my dream. Working in such field seems very easy, but in fact Marketing and PR, not to mention planning, are activities that are very demanding – working on a tight deadline, being prepared for the unexpected things, being extremely concentrated, paying attention to every single detail and working fast, are just some of the things that a marketing person should be able to do.
Most of my life I have lived in a country where economy was equivalent to crisis. I have had the opportunity to witness what is the situation with small business and what problems they face. In the recent years, especially after the economic crisis in 2007-2008, small companies have been striving to survive and remain on the market. Many people lost their jobs because consumption and thus businesses froze. That is why I want to work for a relatively large company that has developed in many markets and people have trust in it. I think that large corporations have many advantages and can give a wide variety of opportunities to every individual. Being even a small part of something that is internationally recognized is very inspirational for me. Big companies can be a source of new

Everyone is asked one question, at a very young age. That question is: “What do you want to be when you grow up?” There isn’t a time I can remember when an adult didn’t ask me this question. When I was six, I would respond with the usual movie star, fashion designer, or veterinarian. My answer would be said confidently, as at this age I walked through life as if it were no big deal. My answer occasionally changed to fit with my many childhood phases, but my view on the question stayed the same. When I was a child, I replied to this inquiry the same way everyone else did; I answered with an occupation. It took me years to discover my new approach to this question. My new response did not include my dream job, but how I saw myself in the future.…

For several years in high school I thought I would get a medical degree in college but to fill in my elective credits I had no choice but to take some business classes. My teacher was Mrs. West, a short blonde haired lady, who spoke of her subject with so much passion it was hard not to love it yourself. She made the class fun and interactive, allowing everyone to have their own voice and give life to their thoughts. I only really delved further into it when I took her marketing and management class. It came so easily to me, it was clear that this was what I should be doing instead failing my biology and chemistry classes. I get to spend my days talking to people about things I’m passionate about and create a relationship with my customers through their thoughts, opinions, and wants. Depending on what you use your marketing degree for you are so much more interactive with the public than any other section of businesses. With this career path I feel excited for my future in it; because I know that there is no real end with my degree. I would like to begin my answer by stating I am an indecisive person. I change my mind more than a politician does. Anyway, at the moment, I currently see myself pursuing a career in marketing with my post high school degree. I have always be fascinated and even entertained by marketing campaigns, from television commercials to print advertisements, and I am greatly interested in the psychology behind advertisements. A marketing agent is essentially one who studies human behavior in order to best sell a product, and, with a little work, I could easily see myself both enjoying and succeeding in a career within this field. Another career I could see myself pursuing is a biologist. I love science, and biology has always has a special place in my heart. The idea alone of testing and creating new scientific theories puts me in a state of euphoria, so, needless to say, I am interested in biology. There are other careers I am considering, and, like every other student, my tastes will surely change. At the moment though, I like the idea of a career in marketing or biology. Thank you for reading, and thank you for Saturday…
