My Crowd Experiment: The Mob Project By Bill Wasik
Memes With the technology we have today millions of people are on the internet daily, and mostly everybody has come across a “meme”. A meme is an idea or a list of consecutive behaviors in a culture that is passed from one person to another; therefore, from parents to children, social media, or even something learned in school. There are millions of different memes out there today. According to Bill Wasik the author of “my crowd experiment: The Mob Project” correlates on flash mobs. Flash mobs are social experiments where many people get together and do funny weird things to get a point across almost like a meme; flash mobs are passed from person to person to provide significance or a meaning to some source. Many memes can either be funny, realistic, or even expressing a want or need. …show more content…
With many created captions of having a bad day, embarrassment, or tragic happenings. There are many hilarious captions to this picture; for example, “Takes SAT, forgot to use a number 2 pencil” or “Opens cereal with prize inside, finds nothing”. This is probably the most popular and funny meme out there today because there is just so many different things you can say about “Bad Luck Brian”. This meme has went viral through somebody posting a picture of this kids yearbook picture and adding a caption to making him “Bad Luck Brian” the media fell in love with the laughs and the meme and it went extremely viral all across the globe. There are Facebook pages of “Bad Luck Brian” reaching more than 30,000 likes and over 100,000 subscribers. There are many dangers tough that this meme can pose. It can cause bullying and harassment which is not what the media is looking forward. Mostly all of the people on social media go on for laughs and disregard the actual truth behind the memes on who they are making fun of or even cyber bully going
