my best friend changed my life
I heard that people can't change. I don't think it's true, because I changed all thanks to my best friend Lulu. Before meeting her I was the opposite as I am right now, unhelpful, not that good at my studies and even not that good as someone to trust. Not only did Lulu change my way of thinking she changed my life, within three different reasons, her honesty, her cleverness and her volunteering works. She is a very close to me, although I met Lulu in my first year at the university. The first time I saw Lulu I didn't think much of her, there is a saying that looks can be deceiving. Questions passed through my mind: Is she going to be a good influence on me or not? Are we going to like each other? I started talking to Lulu and introducing myself to her as she did too, little by little I began to really like her personality.
Honesty and telling the truth is very important not only in friendships, but in any relationships. That is what I noticed in Lulu from the way she talked to me and others. In most people I don't notice that from the first conversation, but Lulu is different from most people. We were in class the first time I talked to her, that whole class was given an assignment in gropes of two. Lulu and I and a third person had to write about what we did that day. The third girl wasn't working and making us do all of the work, she said to her:" If you make us do all the work and not do any of it, I won't let you take all the credit." I sat there shocked. I have never seen anyone defend themselves and others in a while; most of the people don't do anything. After class Lulu told me, if I don’t defend myself, people will take advantage of me. From that day on I never let anyone take credit for my work. I started to say to be a genuine person.
What she said and how she acted proved to me not only Lulu is honest, it pointed out that she is a highly intelligent person. She smart not only in academic work, but in life too. In class Lulu is always paying attention

Respect for each another is imperative in a friendship. Everyone has secrets, so one should not press for answers when the other is clearly unwilling to share the information. If the person wants to share the secret, it is important to be a good listener. One should be responsible by never compromising a friend’s trust and revealing it to other people. In addition to being considerate of another’s privacy, a good friend should not be too judgmental. Although one should never be afraid to contradict a friend, as everyone is allowed to have his own opinion, he should be mindful of the friend’s feelings.…

The first realization I came to was that friends are more than people I may occasionally see in passing, or at social events. Although these people may be friendly and fun to be around, I consider them acquaintances, not friends. Unlike an acquaintance, a friend is someone with whom I genuinely enjoy being around and can call upon other than just when a favor is needed. Real friends know one another’s birthday, favorite color, pets’ names, parents’ names, etc. True friends will do whatever is necessary to ensure they are involved in each other’s lives.…
