One of the things that are different are that it talks about Bernard building his gang in battle school. Another example is that it introduces Bean when dragon army was rebooted in the book, but in the movie, Bean was introduced in the beginning. Contemplate the fact that in the book, no women are present at the end of the novel, but in the film, women play a role in the reconstruction of the new society. Possibly, this difference reflects that the book was written in 1953, whereas the film was made 14 years later.…

In the movie Mrs. Doubtfire the father is not allowed to see his children so he dresses up like a woman and becomes the nanny so he can see his children. In the movie She’s the Man the main character loves to play soccer. When soccer is to be taken away from her she dresses up like a man and plays on a boys soccer team. This reminds me of Mulan because she also dresses like a man in order to save her family. She goes to war as her. Both the girl from the movie Mrs. Doubtfire, She’s the Man and Mulan dress up secretly, and in the end is also caught. They are all forced to changed there identity to so what they love or see whom they love.…

    Disney Princess Role Model

While this may seem a step in the right direction, all of the disney princesses have altered clothes that make them seem like objects, not humans to be admired. In Mulan’s case, she is dressed in an imperial kimono, with a bejeweled obi and flowing sparking skirt. She embodies a perfect chinese princess - exactly what she was not intended to be. Mulan centers around the titular character trying to empower women through casting aside traditional female roles. The first scene and song “Reflections” entails how Mulan despises fancy dresses and arranged marriages. This new design overturns all her character development, showing that Mulan cannot be a princess without the proper princess attire. The new designers lighten Jasmine's and Pocahontas’s skin, utilizing white highlights, making Tiana the only true dark skinned princess. Surrounded by light skinned princesses, a dark-skinned child would feel left out, her dream of being a princess far out of reach. Despite the alleged growth in America’s policy toward diversity, Disney seems to have been left behind, still setting for the same explicit message of light over dark…

There are many differences between the two but there are four main ones that stuck out the most. In the Disney version, Hera is Hercules’ mother, whereas in the original, his mother is a mortal, named Alcmena, making him a demigod (Zeus was his father) which means in the Disney movie he is born a god. In the original he is assigned the twelve tasks as repentance for killing his wife and children. In the Disney film Hercules’s doing the twelve tasks to become a real hero. Another big thing was that in the beginning of the original story, Hera sends two snakes to kill Hercules. In the Disney version Hades sends his two demons two simply kill Hercules but they fail to, so they turn into snakes and try to kill him. The last and biggest difference of all is that in the Disney movie, Hercules has to defeat the Titans whereas the original myth didn’t even talk about them.…

The third and final big difference was Grendel. The poem said that Grendel was a son of Cain. He would attack when everyone was sleeping because people were telling the creation story. In the movie, Grendel was a son of Hrothgar. Grendel attacked during the party because of the praise people would give to Hrothgar. Hollywood did this because they wanted to make them three dimensional, good versus evil. The movie removed references to God and Christianity, so that it would be more favored by the bad guy, Unferth. Hollywood also wanted to make it more appealing to the changing audiences to make them interested in watching it.…

    Hercules: Movie Vs Myth

The movie and the myth of the story of Hercules were in a plethora of ways different. From the very beginning the two were extremely different. Even within the first 10 minutes of the movie, there were already clear differences that were shown more and more as the time went on. The movie version of Hercules had little to nothing in similarity to the myth. The only real comparison that could be made is the use of the names in both and the fact that Hercules had incredible strength. From even the smallest details, the two were greatly unalike. For example, in the original myth there were nine muses, but in Disney’s version they had 5. Another outstanding difference was the fact that in the myth, Hercules was the son of Zeus and a mortal by the…
