Can someone help clear something up for me with ecosystems - savanna grassland biome...

In the textbook it says that it is cooler in the dry season and hotter in the wet season but then says that in the desert margins the temperature ranges from 18ºC in the wet season and 34ºC in the dry season

Did the make a mistake by saying that the wet season is hotter or have they got the temperatures muddled?
