Gideon’s Trumpet The movie Gideon’s Trumpet was about a man that went to court and he didn’t have a lawyer. Gideon was accused of breaking into Bay Harbor poolroom.When he went on trial he did not have a lawyer, he tried to defend himself as much as he could.He had already been in jail 3 times before.The judge and jury put him in jail for 5 years. When he went to jail, he went to the library and found a book about the Constitution. He read “Life, liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness, he checked the book out.One night a man was in the cell messing with other people in there. He started talking to Gideon and they had a conversation about what happen at Gideon’s court case. The man Gideon was talking to also did not have a lawyer

    One exegetical approach to this story is to examine the story 's historical context and its literary genre. An examination of the story 's historical context is crucial in discovering the events that led up to the parable being told and why the story was told. Then there are the two religious leaders, the priest and the Levite.
