Movie Critique on Click
“Click” On June 23, 2006, the movie, “Click,” directed by Frank Coraci, was released into theaters. Throughout this film, the importance of family, life, and love all displayed an important message that we shouldn’t rush life and family should always come first since they are the ones we love the most. This production had a great deal of famous stars in it, such as: Adam Sandler, Christopher Walken, David Hasslehoff and Katie Beckinsale. Sandler, who played the main role, starred a character named Michael Newman. Newman was a workaholic architect that did anything in his power to please his boss, Mr. Ammer (Hasslehoff), even if it meant to push his wife Donna (Beckinsale) and whole family aside. In the beginning, Michael endured a great deal of stress due to the amount of work he had to put in each day with his job, as well as his family wanting to be together too. One night, angered by the complications in his life, Michael decided to take a drive to “Bed, Bath and Beyond” and buy a universal remote control for his television. Eventually, he comes across the “Beyond” section and met a strange man named Morty (Walken). Morty gives Michael the remote for free which made Michael question if there was some sort of catch. However, as the next few hours passed, Michael realized that not only did this remote control his television, but everything in his life completely. With this remote, Michael was able to do many different things. First of all, when he hit the menu button, he was able to rewind his life to any past memory he desired to go to. However, he could only re-visit the memory, not be a part of it. Also, he could pause, slow down, fast forward, mute, decrease volume, increase volume, change color and even skip through periods of his life. For example, when Michael first received the remote, he thought it was a good idea to skip through various stages of life such as family dinners, taking the dog out, massaging his wife and even getting ready
