GENERAL FORMATTING NOTES
1. All song cues are centered on the page, shown in bold italicized type with style/instrumentation, tempo/meter, and key. Song lyrics are indented. 2. Fan names for unidentified ponies are underlined . These names have been taken from the
Friendship Is Magic wiki ( mlp.wikia.com ). 3. Stage and camera directions are ( italicized and in parentheses
).
4. Notes concerning additional explanation or animation/continuity errors are [ italicized in square brackets
].
5. Rhyming lines are indented. 6. The notation [ sic ] is used to indicate that a particular line is delivered exactly as written, even though it exhibits errors in grammar, pronunciation, etc. 7. After first mention in a transcript, the background pony known as Doctor Whooves is referred to as “Whooves” in stage directions and dialogue tags. Regular medical practitioners are referred to as “Doctor.” 8. Many fanfiction pieces (and the show, as of “Magic Duel”) use the word “alicorn” to refer to the Princesses. I do not follow this practice, as it is incorrect; “alicorn” properly refers to a unicorn’s horn and/or the material that comprises it. Instead, I refer to the
Princesses as winged unicorns.

● Snap: Instant change to/from a solid color background.
● Dissolve: Gradual change from one scene to another.
● Cut: Instant change from one scene to another.
● Wipe: Scene changes as if the first scene is being scraped or wiped off the screen, leaving the second one in its place.
● Clock wipe: A wipe in which the edge between scenes rotates as if it were a hand on a clock. ● Barn door wipe:
A wipe that proceeds to or from two opposite edges of the screen, as if a pair of double doors were opening or closing.
