MLM Companies: What You Need To Know

Have you ever wondered about MLM Companies? Melaleuca, Herballife, Amway, Mary Kay,... the list could go on and on. Were you perhaps intrigued by the concept but maybe not really sure if it was all on the up and up?

Sure there are scams in every industry and the Network Marketing or MLM Industry is affected by them too. However, MLM Companies like Melaleuca are not in the category of scams. Many of these companies are solid, well funded, well managed businesses with a non traditional strategy for distribution. If you have been intrigued but not sure where to get started let 's start with education.

In order to understand what the MLM Industry offers you need to become educated about it. Let 's break the industry down into a few different categories: - MLM Companies like Melaleuca, Shakley, Herbalife... these are the old established companies. They have been around for many years. They are solid companies with solid products that have stood the test of time. The people who were involved with these companies early on have really been a part of why they are where they are today and are handsomely rewarded for their early efforts. - How about the party plans, PartyLite, Pampered Chef, Discovery Toys.... Again many of these MLM companies are good solid companies. Their method for building is an untrained sales force but they have great passion for their product. Unfortunately for many the push to sell sell sell eventually gets tiresome and they get weary. - There are also the slow growths. These are the companies who have been around for 10 or 20 years but just never really made it to momentum. They keep thinking it will be just around the corner but they languish around for many years never really getting to that pinnacle of a massive organization. -Then of course let 's think about the "Me Too" companies. These companies are ones that are following in the footsteps of the innovators.

    A) The major consumer products firms like General Mills and Nestlé have to be market oriented in. In Exhibit 1.6 its show the Marketing Orientated firms have a broad product line, pricing based on perceived benefits, and packaging focused on customer convince. Also It says that “many of America’s most market-oriented firms are well-established competitors in relatively mature industries. This is because they are in an established market that if you don’t have what the customers want they will be able to find it someplace else. But in a fast-growing, hi-tech industry a small entrepreneurial start-up should be product oriented trying to create new better products and not to focus on specifics that the customer wants. As it says in the book pg. 14 “ Early entrants into newly emerging industries, particularly industries based on new technologies, are especially likely to be internally focused and not very market-oriented. This is because there are likely to be relatively few strong competitors during the formative years of a new industry, costumer demand for the new product is likely to grow rapidly and outstrip available supply, and production problems and resource.”…

Unlike affiliate marketing, MLM have limited niche diversity. You are stuck with only one niche that might be boring to you. If you don't like the niche you operate in, you can't switch to another niche. This can be depressing if you are not passionate about the products you are selling. Your situation will even be worsened if you are not able to sell all the products you are required to sell in a month. You can use them and you can give them out at no cost. This is one of the major reasons why multi-level marketing companies experience high turnover rate. People get frustrated and they leave the company in…

Network Marketing or Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) is a strategy which allows the parent multi-level company to market and distribute their products or/and service, directly to the consumer by direct selling in a non-permanent retail location and grow the network through relationship referrals. These sales are done through independent, unsalaried Sales Consultants (full time or part time) who represent the company and make commission based on the volume of sales. The sales consultants often build their own organisation by recruiting a down-line of other independent distributors, who perform the same job; and as a result the entire organisation expands. As a consultant they earn commission not only based on their own sales, but also on the entire sales of the down-line group. This strategy has a very low distribution cost and also offers a leading business opportunity to people. This…
