One crazy love affair
According to Webster’s dictionary love is defined as follows: a (1): strong affection for another arising out of kinship or personal ties <maternal love for a child> (2): attraction based on sexual desire: affection and tenderness felt by lovers (3): affection based on admiration, benevolence, or common interests <love for his old schoolmates>.
Well, in examining my relationship to my partner I have realized that in some ways I have a perfect relationship. When I was younger I had a story book vision of what love was supposed to be and most of the guys I allowed it my life failed my expectations of love. I met Corey when I was 22 I already had two kids and so did he. I wasn't looking for a relationship, I just needed a friend. We ended up getting together right away and have been with one another for nine years on May 19th of this year. Our relationship has not been easy by any means and I use to wonder if we were even meant to be together.
We survived an addiction, we work through losing custody of seven of our children, he waited for me two and a half years while I was in prison and we have recently had another child that we raise together. Just in that short sentence you can see we have had an intense relationship. We both been sober for over 5 years and its great we are learning each other more and more each day.
Recently around the 7th year of our relationship we were tested with his baby momma and her drama but we worked through it. It was difficult we argued almost every day but he finally stood up to her for me and that’s when I knew we were going to make it. With Corey I feel loved wanted and needed and no matter how hard a situation is we get through it together.
We go through the cycle of intimacy and commitment to passion intimacy and commitment, and in that aspect what else could you want. My man is my best friend that I get to sleep with, have fun with, fight

I agree with all of Callwood’s main points, however I am not fully persuaded that these are all the characteristics in maintaining a bond with your partner. Since I am young, I have no experience with long term romantic relationships but I believe that you need to truly understand your needs which can come from experience. The lack of knowledge of yourself could have been the result of your…

But, what matters, is how many times he's uplifted me. I know pure happiness is far away in my distant future, but he brings me closer everyday. Years ago, if someone had told me I'd fall for a baggy eyed, small, nearly 30 year old grown man, I'd think that's insane. But now, I can't imagine a time I didn't love him, or a time I won't. My mind everyday is on him, and I'll never comprehend that. He's the one thing I immediately think of when I need a reminder to live, or to simply be happy. He is always the first person I look to for comfort, although he can't give it directly. I'm in love with him. I'm so deeply in love with him. It will never matter to me how many times I'm told "you don't REALLY love him." or "you just think he's cute." because I know I've completely fallen for…

American people have debated over the legalization of marijuana for many years. This discussion is an example of how the united states have struggled to reach an agreement about the use of marijuana. In recent year’s drug policy have been increasingly challenged, especially in America. In the United States a group of nearly twenty states has allowed the medical use of marijuana, even though neither the federal government nor the United Nations Convention recognize that marijuana has medical uses. In the election of November 2012, Washington State passed a referendum, and Colorado an amendment to its Constitution, which allow the recreational use of marijuana. A result of the legalization of recreational use in Denver, Colorado, have entered more than $ 1.2 million with a mechanism for maximum sales per consumer than an ounce profit status, worth $ 200, a strategy that is used to regulate the individual consumption. For instance, according to Jacob Sullum (2013), author of The Cannabis Is Out Of The bag, “People 21 or older already are allowed to possess up to an ounce of marijuana.” Nowadays Marijuana users in the United States may finally, starting this January 1, legally have it for recreational purposes in two states in the West, Washington and Colorado.…

That night he was finally honest with me and told me he was in love with me. He knew he had been in love with me he was just nervous to admit it. He said, "I never felt what real love was before and wanted to be sure." Having a long distance relationship was going to be hard and we both would have to work two times harder every day than any other "normal couple". He lives in Virginia and I live in California, we're directly across the country from each other, but I knew he was worth it and he knew I was too. From that point on we have been together and we've never been happier. Of course, there are those obstacles every long distance couple faces. We don't get to see each other everyday or be physically affectionate. In many ways, we're better…

The four characteristics that define intimate relationships are emotional availability, emotional attachment, and behavioral interdependence. When you meet someone new rather it is an intimate relationship or building a new friendship, it is always hard because you have to build trust and get to know that person. Then there is always the possibility of rejection, betrayal, or disappointment. People’s expectations sometimes set them up to be hurt and then sometimes their expectations are "reasonable" but the other person is just hurtful. Whenever 2 people are involved, you have but so much control over what will happen…

Though our relationship is long distance, he lives in Atlanta, we still manage to maintain it with no problem. We talk 24/7 whether it’s through texting, talking on the phone, or Face Timing. He also comes and visits me often, and we’re never apart for more than five weeks at a time. Every reunion with him is euphoric, and I just feel like I’ve fallen in love all over again. We’re so close I feel as if he is more than just a boyfriend but also my best friend. I trust him with all my heart. I know I can tell him anything and he’d protect any secret of mine.
